The Chain mails

(Ayanokoji POV)

Hayama: I have a favor to ask

A classmate of mine named Hayama Hayato entered our clubroom. I remembered his name being mentioned by Miura several times.

Hayama: Man , it was so hard getting out of my club meeting in time-

Yukinoshita: Please state your business. You came here to ask for help right, we don't have time for idle chatter, kindly get to the point.

Hayama: Yeah here, please see this.

He showed us a his phone which had a few mails opened in them. I read them out aloud.

Ayanokoji: "Tobe is a delinquent "" Yamato is a 3 timing scumbag" and "Ohoka uses under handed tactics to win in baseball matches".

Hayama: The atmosphere in the class has been getting worse and it makes me mad seeing people write things like this about my friends. But I don't want to find out who did it though.

Yukinoshita: I will find the culprit people like that need to be put in their place. What are your thoughts about this Ayanokoji kun.

Ayanokoji: Finding the culprit will clear misunderstanding between his friends but it is not what our client wants Yukinoshita. 

Yukinoshita: Care to explain.

Ayanokoji: Firstly Hayama himself stated he has no interest in the culprit secondly even if we find the culprit that won't get the atmosphere of the class back to normal the one culprit will still be blamed and people will be start being more cautious around their friends which would further enhance the negative atmosphere.

Yukinoshita: (He analysed the situation quickly and even discerned the result that Hayama kun wants, while I decided to catch the culprit on emotions due to my own personal reasons. He is really good , but I want to see what he is further capable of). Very well then I would like you and Yuigahama san to help with this case.

Hikigaya: Hey I am in their class too you know.

Yukinoshita: Sure feel free to act how you please in this case but try not to get in Ayanokoji kun's way.

Hikigaya: Tch.

(In the classroom)

I was observing Hayama's friends talking. Shortly Hayama leaves the area and I notice an interesting observation.

Ayanokoji: Did you see that too?

Hikigaya: You mean how they stop talking the moment the moment Hayama left.

Ayanokoji: That's Hayama's friend group, all three of them want to be with Hayama. When sensei called in her room I saw the forms for the workplace observation event it it happens to need students to be in a group of 3. 

Hikigaya: And you want them to team up so they will naturally become friends.

Ayanokoji: Help me take Hayama out of the options for them.

Hikigaya: How?

Ayanokoji: Hayama's already agreed to this I need a 3rd member to complete this group for the workplace event.

Hikigaya: So you want me to team up with you and Hayama.

Ayanokoji: You want this to get over as quickly as possible too don't you.

Hikigaya: No choice then.

Hayama then comes walking towards us.

Hayama: Thank you this situation couldn't have been resolved without your help. You too Hikigaya. I am glad we didn't even have to find the culprit for this.

But Hayama I never said that I didn't want to find the culprit, it was your problem that didn't need the culprit. I have taken an interest in Hayama's clique and want to know more about its relationships, members and interests.

(After school)

I decided to follow Yamato, the guy who had the allegation of being a 3 timing scumbag and most likely the culprit. He stopped at an alley opposite to the traffic signal and was talking to two other guys. I decided to record him with the phone I bought.

Yamato: Well that played out like shit, even though I don't mind being paired with the other two I needed to pair up with Hayato. That whole chainmail plan was such a bust.

That confirms it he is indeed the culprit, even though I had my suspicion about him now I even have proof. He probably used that guys phone to send the mails he doesn't seem to be from our school so others didn't knew about him or his number. I decided to walk out of hiding and confront them.

Ayanokoji: That was a pretty rough plan.

Yamato: Who- what ,wait you're that new student Ayanokoji.

I replayed the recording in front of him causing him to start sweating.

Ayanokoji: If I were to leak this video your standing with your friends will crumble.

Yamato: How, how did you know it was me, you still must at least have some suspicion before you tried to follow me.

Well turns out he at least can think a little seeing that guy called Tobe I almost thought that this entire group was of idiots.

Ayanokoji: It was the chainmail itself, you wrote about being a 3 timing guy which seemed like badmouthing from a moral perspective but from the conversations I have been observing being able to score 3 girls was a big deal for any guy more than insult it seemed like a badge of honor.

Yamato: You are observant ain't ya but you won't be getting out of here until you give me that phone, we are 3 guys here. Don't worry though, I will let you go after I delete that recording and have confirmed you don't have it saved else where and if you beg on your knees and promise to keep your mouth shut, I will let you leave unharmed.

Ayanokoji: Am I in trouble right now? I will say this before hand the 3 of you can't do anything to me.

As I say that all three come charging at me the other 2 came upfront at the same time and Yamato was behind them. I stepped toward left so I can face only one of the 2. As he telegraphs his punch I land a jab in his jaw causing him to stun then finishing him of with my other fist' straight hit. The other one grabs my collar I spin around to get rid of his grip and within that spin I threw a 360 spin kick to his face causing him to faint. Then Yamato slows his approach and picks a fighting stance. He throws a punch which wasn't telegraphed like the first guy but it was slow enough for me to dodge his stance only protected his face so I went for a solar plexus hit which caused saliva out of his mouth.

Yamato: Haaa haa! no more I give up.

Ayanokoji: You brought this on yourself. You three were pretty bad at taking the advantage of the 3v1 situation. Earlier you said that "don't worry i will let you of the hook as long as you hand me the recording", now I tell you that you are the ones who shouldn't worry.

As I say this the despairing Yamato looks up.

Ayanokoji: I won't leak you secret as long as you do what I say, you understand my superiority to you both physically and mentally right.

Yamato: Yeah, I guess I can't escape from you.

Good now I have a new tool that I can use to understand this clique of Hayama's.

(In Ayanokoji's apartment)

I come back to my apartment to rest at about 6pm. I had gone earlier to withdraw cash from the bank. I had also received a credit and a debit card for expenditures from that guardian. They were delivered shortly after I moved here along with a letter that had written the following words" Feel free to use these as you please but I am sure you will spend them wisely". When I went to withdraw some cash I could see over 2 billion yen in funds.

Ayanokoji: Well quite a lot for a 1st day.

After having a sushi dinner and I tucked myself in bed.
