The Summer Festival

(Hikigaya's Pov)

Eahh 2 months aren't long enough for the summer vacation. Uh yeah, that summer camp took most of the time. I won't think about it too much, also Yuigahama's dog sure is energetic, I guess they take after their owners. After my housecat ran and climbed up the fridge to escape what was his name again yeah Sable I got up and used my phone's app that says to be able to translate dog's barks. It kept on saying the same thing though. After that, the bell rang as me and Komachi went to check the door it was Yuigahama.

Yuigahama: Thanks so much he wasn't too much trouble was he?

Komachi: No we had a blast, you and Sable should come again sometime when our parents are here and introduce yourself.

Yuigahama: Yeah I would love to come and meet you pa- what, actually thanks for the invite I think I will pass on that.

As she is just about to leave she stops to invite us to the fireworks show at the summer festival Komachi refuses in a weird way, seriously saying you have to prepare for exams is a completely valid reason I don't know why she needs to act so cheekily.

Komachi: But you know there are some things that I am dying to get but I doubt you will be able to get them alone.

Yuigahama: Oh that's right Hikki.

Hikigaya: Oh I well..... .

Komachi: Oh if only we knew a guy with some time on his hands.

She says that while both of them stared at me at that point I knew there was no escape so I accepted my fate. I was waiting in the station in evening, damn this girl she is running late. I started checking my phone when suddenly I saw Yuigahama walking up the staircase. Woah she looked pretty in that yukata. 

Yuigahama: Sorry I had so much to do I got late.

Hikigaya: Don't worry about it, its no big deal honestly. So um that yukata is nice.

Yuigahama: Thanks Hikki.

Hikigaya: Ready to go?

( In the train)

Hikigaya: So why couldn't we just meet at the venue?

Yuigahama: Well that would be crowded and my cellphone doesn't connect well sometimes. Besides, there is no spice in us just meeting at the venue.

Hikigaya: What do you need spice for, it's not like we are seasoning seaweed.

Yuigahama: Why does it matter you got a problem?

I really can't understand her language or her meanings. The train had a slight bump in the rails which caused Yuigahama to lean on me. Seriously if I was a normal guy I would have fallen for her right there and then. Trying to find meaning in coincidence is what unpopular guys do a lot. We then reached the venue for the festival where Yuigahama met someone from our class Yuigahama said her name was Sagami Minami she was with a few of her friends.

Sagami: Well would you look at you two just coming together, so lucky. For us, it's just fireworks with some girlfriends tonight. I wanna dive into school youthful romance too.

Yuigahama: Come on it's not like that we're just school friends.

Aah, I have just become the subject of ladies' gossip in situations like these I would normally just try to hide in the background but it won't be possible with Yuigahama as company.

Yuigahama: Ah Ayanon and Yukinon, here you two.

Yukinoshita: Yuigahama san goodevening.

Yuigahama: What are you two doing here together?
