Sometimes We Fall

The carpet was a lot. So many people yelling Harry's name, asking who I was. Wanting certain angles, certain poses. I tried to give the best I could and it helped that Harry either had a firm grip on my waist or hand the entire time supporting me.

Ahead of us, I had spotted Olivia. We both had kept glancing in each other's directionand I hoped it wasn't something the media would try and turn into something. Every time she glanced over, I noticed how piercing and green her eyes were. They truly could leave a lasting impression on anyone and I couldn't help but feel jealous.

When we finally reached the end of the carpet, I let out a giant breath I didn't realize I had been holding. Harry walked in front of me, placing a hand on either side of my waist, "You did great."

"That was so chaotic. I've been on the press side, I've yelled out for people. But dear lord to be on the receiving end is something." I laughed a bit and he did too.

"See so maybe now you'll be nice to us circus acts." He raised an eyebrow and i scrunched my nose at him.

"Nope, gotta get my story and my photographer needs the pictures." I giggled.

"You two really do look so lovely together." I heard a voice say, and when we both turned, we noticed Olivia.

"Liv, hi." Harry said, his attention fully on her, "How are you?"

"I'm good thank you. Much more relaxed than our previous red carpet," she laughed such a beautiful laugh, I wanted to kick her shin.

A little much don't you think Grace?

I looked down, avoiding anyone seeing the eye roll I was about to give to my inner thoughts.

"That's good Liv, definitely, not as...uh, problematic?" Harry chuckled and she did too.

"Well, we shall see what the media says tomorrow."

They continued their conversation and it was like I wasn't even there; which I couldn't help but feel like was a boost to Olivia's ego. I peeked around, spotting someone who I knew ran these events and walked over to them. I didn't even bother to excuse myself. When I peeked over my shoulder, they were still talking unbothered.

I approached Megan, the woman I knew working the event, "Hey Meg."

"Oh my gosh! Grace!! I cannot believe you are here with Harry Styles." Her eyes were wide at me.

"Yeah, I know. But here I am." I shrugged, "Uh, where is the bathroom, want to freshen up before we have to head inside."

"Oh, right, through that door, to the left, you can't miss it." She smiled big at me and I waved softly as I walked off.

Harry's POV

"So how long are you in town for?" Olivia asked me.

"Well, I'm going to be flying in and out actually once I start touring over seas." I smiled big, excited about the future with Grace.

Grace.

I felt my eyes widen and I turned to my side, she was gone. This whole time, I hadn't acknowledged her, hadn't introduced her.

God, you're a piece of shit Harry.

I looked around the room as Olivia kept talking, "Oh, why is that?"

"My girl...uh, the girl I'm dating. To be with her. Where did she go?" I said the last part to myself.

"Your PR girl, she left a bit ago," Olivia said smugly.

"She's not my PR, she's the girl I'm seeing....excuse me Liv, I have to find her." I said starting to walk away.

"Dating?" I heard her say.
