I woke up the next morning with Harry's head on my stomach, his arms wrapped around me. I smiled running my fingers through his hair. I could hear Lydia moving around the kitchen.
I sat up slightly and kissed the top of his head, he stirred slightly and I whispered, "I'm going to talk to Lydia, okay?"
He nodded and kissed my stomach softly, before moving up and laying on my pillow. I smiled at him, warmth filling my body. I got up slowly and slipped on my slides, making my way out of the room.
Lydia looked up at me and smiled softly, "Hey." She bit her lip and quickly ran over to me, hugging me tightly, "I'm so sorry Gracie."
"Liddy, I'm fine, I promise." I pulled away, her hands on my arms.
"I could of punched him straight in the face last night." She said, her eyebrows furrowed.
"I know, but, it's over. It happened. Hopefully he won't come around anymore." I smiled small, "Is there coffee ready?"
She nodded, "Yeah, come on I'll make it for you." She linked arms with me leading me to the kitchen.
Lydia made me my coffee as I sat at the table and I bit my lip trying to figure out how to tell her about Harry.
She brought over her coffee and mine and sat at the table, "Did Harry find you? He was really worried and ran off."
"Yeah, he did," I took a deep breath, "He's in my bed actually." I said quickly, sipping my coffee.
"Wait, he stayed the night?" Lydia raised a soft eyebrow at me.
"Yeah. I asked him to, we didn't have sex or anything. I just didn't want to be alone."
"Wow. Grace, I'm...you're falling for him aren't you?" She said, a small smile on her lips.
"Why do you say that?" I said softly.
"He knew who Evan was, that you couldn't have kids, and you asked him to stay the night."
I laughed softly and looked down at my coffee nodding, "Yeah, I told him last night." I peeked up and smiled bashfully at Lydia, who looked like she was tearing up.
"Wow. Aw. Grace." She covered her mouth, and squeezed out some tears.
"I'm not mad at Frank, by any means, he...he didn't know what he was saying and that's my fault. I had a very surface level relationship with him, from my side at least. But, it took him snapping at me to realize how much I hadn't let him in. How much I didn't want to. It made me realize how I let Harry in so much, without even trying. It's just, flowed."
I smiled big and felt myself flush.
"I was so worried you would never get out of the cold place Grace." Lydia wiped her eyes and there was a knock at the door. We both looked over then back at each other.
"Are you expecting someone?" I said, starting to get up as she shook her head no. I walked over and peeked through the peek hole, there stood Frank.
I turned to Lydia quickly with wide eyes, "What? Who is it?" She yell whispered at me as a knock came again.
"Frank." I yelled whispered back, "What do I do?"
"Just answer! I'll go away." She said getting up and taking her coffee to her room.
I took a deep breath and opened the door slightly, enough to stand in the opening.
"Hey, did I wake you?" He said, his face looked so sad.
"Hey no, I was in the bathroom, I've been up, uh, what are you doing here?" I said, having a hard time keeping eye contact with him.
He stepped forward and hugged me tightly, his arms around my waist, "You left your purse and....I'm so sorry Grace, I was such an asshole to you. I'm so sorry."
I hugged him back softly, not nearly as tight as he was holding me. He pulled back and analyzed my face, "You hate me."
"No Frank." I took a deep breath, "Come in."
He walked in and we made our way over to the dining room table. We sat down across from each other and bit my lip, "Look, I wasn't honest with you, about, things from my past. I didn't let you in, and tell you things. So your outburst, I can't be mad that you thought it was something it wasn't." I said everything softly at him.
"But you told Harry." He said softly, staring at the table.
I swallowed hard, "I just...yeah, I did."
He nodded softly, still not looking at me, "Oh."
"Frank, I'm sorry. I've loved every moment with you. I just, I can't control how I fe— I get it Grace." As he spoke my bedroom door opened and we both turned to see Harry walk out.
Harry stopped looking over the situation, "Sorry, I,...I'm going to the bathroom." He turned into the bathroom quickly.
"He stayed the night, with you?" Frank said softly after Harry was gone.
"Frank."
"No, I get it." He said getting up and pushing towards the door.
"Frank, wait." I said walking over and grabbing his arm softly.
"He's going to hurt you Grace." He said looking at me with a stern face.
"That's not fair Frank." I said letting go of his arm.
"He is, he can't give you stability. He can't give you what I know you need. What are you doing to do when he isn't here? When you are lonely? Come looking for me?" He said strongly, his voice slightly raised.
"Frank, stop, please don't do this. I care you for you, genuinely. And I know you ca— I don't, you were just a good lay." I felt taken aback, and before I could say anything, Lydia pushed me out of the way and got in his face.
"Get out Frank. Now." There was shock on both Frank's face and my own, "Now!"
Frank rolled his eyes and walked out as Lydia closed the door. I felt my chest hurt, I couldn't help the tears, "I..." Lydia hushed me gently and pulled me close.
"Remember, I told you. Man over boy. You have a man now. Who knows you and wants you. Okay? Plus, we both know Frank. He'll come around. He will apologize." She whispered.
I nodded and took a deep breath pulling out of her embrace, wiping my eyes. Harry came out of the bathroom and walked over to me, "I'm sorry I stayed in there, I didn't want to make things worse, and if I punched him, it would of made things worse."
"It's okay." I smiled softly, and Lydia patted his chest.
"Want coffee Styles?" She smirked and he nodded.
Lydia walked away and Harry pulled me in his arms, "You okay?"
I just shrugged and he nodded, "That's okay. You don't have to know."
I smiled softly, resting my cheek on his chest, his heart beating loudly against my ear. I smiled softly, kissing his chest.
"You still like me this morning? Not planning on running away." He said into my hair before kissing the top of my head.
"No. Not yet anyways." We both chuckled.
