When I Was Happy

                                 2 years later...

Y/N POV:

Everything is great! Living with Kyojuro has been wonderful to me! He's always taking care of me. Asking me if I'm okay, asking if I'm hungry, just taking care of me and just being the loving person that he his.

But he does get a little... Overprotective.

Like when we're at the market together, he'll keep me close to his side.

One time, a random person bumped into me and Kyojuro demanded an apology.

I told him it was fine, when didn't think so, so he continued to pester the man until he apologized.

We became closer with each other... We even almost kissed. But his stupid crow had to interrupt us.

I even had developed a crush on him...

He's so sweet, kind, and so handsome...

I just wish I could grab him by the collar and give him a passionate kiss... And I would lik-

" There you are Y/N! I've been looking for you! " He said loudly, breaking me out of my thoughts.

" Did you need something, Kyojuro? "

" Ah... Y-Yes. I was w-wondering if-if you would like to go to dinner tonight? " He said nervously stuttering.

" Ah, dinner? Sure, why not? "

He took a big sigh of relief.

" Wonderful! We shall go out around... 6:00? That would be fine right? " He questioned.

" Perfect! " I said while clapping my hands.

6:00~

" Kyojuro! Im ready! " I yelled out.

I was wearing a beautiful F/C kimono he had got me for my birthday last year.

" Y/N. " He said while blushing.

I then started to blush.

" You look beautiful! "

" Thank you, Kyojuro. " I said with a smile.

We went out and there was a carriage for us, waiting outside. He also told me that he made sure that he wouldn't have to go on any missions and ruin our date.

" Wow Kyojuro. You didn't have to be all fancy. "

" Well I wanted to make sure that you would have a nice time. " He said, in his calm voice.

" Your so thoughtful, Kyo. " I said.

He blushed when I called him that.

We were on our way to one of the fanciest restaurants in town.

Once we arrived, Kyojuro stepped out of the carriage and held out his hand for me. I gladly took it.

We then went inside, sat down at our table, ordered food, talked until the food arrived, and ate. We left and went on a walk in the park.

" Thank you for taking me out Kyo, I really enjoyed being with you. " I said while leaning on him.

He blushed, then took a big gulp. I looked up and saw his adam's apple bobbing.

" Y/N... " He stopped walking.

I looked up at him in curiosity.

" Is something wrong? " I asked.

" Actually, I have a q-question. " He said while stuttering.

I hummed in response.

" W-Well we've known each other for about t-two years now... " He said.

" Yes... " I replied back.

" Well, the-the thing is... I-I have... A-A crush on you... "

I was quick to widen my eyes, I was about to respond when,

" And if you don't like me back, I'm totally okay with just being friends! " He rushed his sentence.

He looked away from me in sadness because I was hesitant of my answer.

" I like you too, Kyo. " I said with a warm smile on my face.

He looked at me with a surprised face. Then he smiled and hugged me. Of course I hugged him back.

" Wonderful! Just wonderful! " He said with excitement.

I jerked away from him. He was quick to respond with,

" Is something wrong? Did I make you uncom- "

I cut him off because I kissed him.

Then I stopped and said,

" Of course not. I'm just happy! " I said.

A few months later~

Y/N had been in a wonderful relationship with Kyojuro. He was thoughtful to her, bought her gifts, and was just being a loving boyfriend. He introduced Y/N to all of the Hashira, aka is friends, and Y/N became really good friends with Misturi and Shinobu. You went out a couple times with them, then they became really attached to you. Making you all besties. Kyojuro became jealous when you would hang out with them all the time. He asked you to not go out with them as much as you did on a regular basis. You agreed. You still saw them, just not as much. You and Kyojuro barely had fights, you always got along. He was still protective with you.

Y/N POV:

" Mhmmm~ Look at that man over there, Y/N. " Misturi said.

She was drunk. You were drunk. We were both drunk.

" Y-you know-know I'm dating Kyo-Kyojuro! " I said, obviously drunk.

" ohhhhh shittttt. It's 2 in the morning. Let's gooooo. " Misturi said.

I followed her to the cab she called.

I walked him my home, only to see Kyojuro sitting on the couch with a mad look. That's when I instantly sobered up.

" Where were you? " He asked. In a very serious tone.

" I was out with Misturi. I'm sorry... " I apologized.

" You went out with her at 6 in the evening. "

I stood there in silence. I was getting a little scared because he's never talked to me like this. He's never been mad like this.

" Well... Are you gonna answer me? "

" I was at the bar... " I said quietly.

" At the bar, at 2 in the morning..? "

Again, I said nothing.

" Fine, don't answer me. I don't want you going out with Misturi or Shinobu anymore.  " Once he said that, your eyes widened in anger.

" You can't do that to me Kyojuro! There my friends! You don't control me! " You yelled out in anger.

Kyojuro POV:

Once I heard her say that, my heart shattered. I wasn't a controlling person, I was a warm, nice, caring one. I didn't want to lose Y/N... She makes me so happy.

" I'm sorry, little flame... Your right, I was just worried about you. I won't do it again... " I said while kissing her on the cheek then hugging her.

" Your forgiven, please don't scare me like that again... And I'll make sure to be home earlier next time too. " Y/N said.

" Let's go to bed, sweetness. "
