Lets Try Again

He was dragging me to the basement.

I had no idea why he was dragging me down there when he is supposed to be leaving for a mission!

He dragged me down the stairs without the littlest care about me. Once we got down there, he sat me down in front of the wooden pillar, and left.

I thinking he was gonna leave me down there while he was on his mission and I could get out easy peasy. But I was wrong. He came back with some... Chains...

"W-What are you gonna do with those?" I acted dumb.

"Don't act dumb, love." He said as he started to chain me up to the pillar.

"W-Wait, wait! Why are you chaining me up?!" Squirming underneath him.

"Because, dear,  I can't risk you running away again. Now stay still."

I had to listen to him or I would get punished when he gets back. I started to silently cry. He noticed then wiped my tears away.

"Don't cry, little flame. You'll only be down here for a little bit. I'll be back soon."

Then he headed up the stairs.

"See you soon, love."

He shut off the lights and locked the door. He left me in the dark, alone, chained up.

I had to think. He didn't chain up my feet, so that's something. I couldn't see anything except for a little light from the tiny window, and it was dark out so that doesn't help. I had to do something. I tried moving my feet around to feel anything, but felt nothing.

Think.

Think!

I got it!

My hair pins! I forgot I put my hair up after my bath I had!

I tried reaching to my hair, but couldn't reach. So I had to lean back more and I finally grabbed a hold of my hair. My hand was searching underneath all my hair for the pins. There were 2. So I have 2 chances to get out of this.

I found a pin! All I need to do is find the lock on this thing, which is gonna be a pain in the ass.

And boy was it pain.

When I found the lock, my wrists couldn't get in the right position to pick lock it. I had to dig my hands in the chains to reach it properly. Eventually, I felt a little blood running down my arms. But I had to keep doing it to get out of here.

Then I heard a click.

Then my hands went free!

I quickly got up but walked a little slow because it was almost pitch black. I made it to the steps and walked up slowly, not wanting to fall.

Once I made it up to the door, I tried opening it, but forgot he locked it. I then looked in my hair once again trying to find the other pin.

I couldn't find it.

I started panicking. If he was to come home to me out of the chains, I'm dead!

Then I felt it.

I took a big sigh of relief. I then went to pick lock it. My wrists were still hurting and bleeding from the chains. But I'm so close! I honestly don't even know where I learned to pick lock stuff.

Once again, I heard another click.

Then the door opened.

At last! I was free! I didn't waste any time and went straight towards the front door. I didn't care it was cold out, I didn't care to pack anything. I knew if I took my time packing, I would waste so much time. I just dashed right outside and went straight down the mountain.

I didn't care to ask my crow to tell me when he got home or if he's on his way home, which probably wasn't a good idea. I tried thinking of anyone closer then Tengen, but he was the closest person.

Even though I felt like I was gonna pass out from running and being tired, I still kept going. I had tripped multiple times, gotten dirty, but didn't care.

4 hours later~

I am so close to his house once again. I have blood, dirt, and bruises all over my body. I'm pretty sure my hands have frostbite. I couldn't feel anything in my body.

I was then running right past the spot Kyojuro caught me. I never stopped running once. I kept going. I ran past the sign to his estate and ran right up to the engawa.

Once I got up to his door I pounded on it then looked behind me to keep a watch out for Kyojuro. But there was no answer. So i pounded on the door for a good 20 seconds then turned around again.

"I'm coming, I'm coming." I heard from the other side of the door.

No one could make me happier then I was right now. I was so thankful I made it out of there!

Then the door opened up.

"Ye-" He stopped.

There was a bit of silence for 5 seconds.

"Y/N?! Oh my god! What happened to you?!" He said as he dragged me inside.

I didn't say anything. I went and hugged him tightly. I then started to cry in his arms.

"Y/N... Tell me what happened." He said while wiping my tears away.

I told him everything that happened to me. He looked shocked that Kyojuro would do that to me. But then again, he did take away our friendship and banned me from seeing him.

"Gee, Y/N... I'm sorry." He apologized.

"Why are you apologizing?"

"Because this happened years ago. Before the Entertainment District fight. I would've been able to do something! I would've had my eye and hand! I could've fought back..." He explained.

"It's not your fault."

"Oh, where is Hina, Makio, and Suma?" I asked.

"They're cleaning themselves right now. When they come in here to see you, they'll go crazy excited. So watch out."

I then gasped and got up. I went to lock the doors and shut all the curtains.

"Y/N? Is something wrong?" He asked.

"I can't stay for long. It pains me to ask, but do you think I could stay here tonight? I can't risk him coming to find me."

"Well, why can't you live with us?" I was shocked at his sudden question.
