His Little Flame

Gotta Run Again.

Uzui POV:

As I shut the door, I take a big sigh of relief...

Thank god nothing happened. I just can't believe he's acting stupid... Like nothing is wrong. Only if I had my hand and eye...

Y/N POV:

As the girls finish helping me wash up, I start thinking what I'm going to do when I leave... I need to figure something out.

But I get broke out of my thoughts to the girls calling my names.

"I'm sorry girls... What did you need?" I ask.

"Lord Tengen needs to talk to you, Y/N..." Hina says calmly.

"Oh, alright then." I say while walking away.

But I stop to thank them for their help.

"Oh, by the way, thank you girls for all your help." I say while bowing.

"It's quite alright, Y/N. You don't need to thank us." Makio said, quietly and calmly. I was pretty surprised to see her so calm for once.

I thanked them again then I left to go see Tengen.

"Tengen? Hina said you needed to talk to me. Is everything alright?" I ask worriedly.

"Everything fine... For now."

I look at him in confusion. I ask him what's wrong but he doesn't answer for a minute.

"Rengoku was here..."

My eyes widen in shock from his words. I couldn't believe it. I haven't even been here for more than 3 hours and he was already here searching for me! I could've put Tengen and the girls in danger... I have to go.

"Y/N? You okay?" Tengen says, breaking me out of my thoughts.

"I need to go."

He looks at me confused.

"What? Y/N, you can't leave. He's in the nearby village! I'm not letting you go." He says while grabbing onto my arm, firmly, but not firmly enough to hurt me.

"Tengen, I wasn't even here for more than 3 hours, and he still showed up here! I'm not gonna put you guys in danger. I'm leaving and that's final." I gently pull his hand off my arm.

As he keeps trying to get me to stay, I pack a bag that the girls gave me. They give me some kimonos, money, medical kit, and an old demon slayer sword they used for training. Even though I was never a demon slayer, they still gave me one for protection. And the last thing they gave me is a bag of wisteria petals.

I stand at the front door, hugging Hina, Suma, and Makio. They wish me good luck, and I think I might need it...

"Y/N... I can protect you...! Please..." Uzui still begs.

I don't answer him. I just hug him...

"No... I'm sorry." I apologize.

I hug him for a minute longer, then release him. I turn around, my back facing him. Anxiety and fear starts to flood my mind.

"Are you sure you'll be fine?" Tengen asks.

I nod with a fake smile.

"Yup. All good. I... I'll just try and find... An inn."

I hear him take a big sigh.

"Alright..."

I start to walk off. But Tengen says something that makes me shudder with fear.

"I... I love you, Y/N. Please be safe... The next time I see you... You better be alive..."

I turn around and wave goodbye.

"I love you too, Tengen..."

I then walk off.
