"I come prepared!" Hope's voice echoed around Gwen's dormitory as she and Olivia made her way inside, the Slytherin dumping a small-sized suitcase on top of Gwen's bed. "Now, I will give warning the skin shade colours are much too dark for the rest of you so that you'll have to use your own, but everything else is fair game."
Before moving over to open up the suitcase, her eyes finally glanced over to the other three girls who'd been waiting for the two of them to arrive. And only then did she notice the bewildered looks on their faces. As did Liv. "I did say she's the best source of make-up in the whole castle." The younger Hufflepuff reminded.
"Who needs all of this?" Hermione asked in pure surprise as she, Gwen, and Aurora moved over to peak into the now open suitcase. Much to their relief, it wasn't filled to the brim, but that didn't mean it was in any way empty either.
"Blame my older sister for dressing me up since I was able to stand on my own two feet." Hope shook her hand through the air dismissively. "And to be honest, I don't really use some of it. But once people learn I like it, I basically get at least a little something every holiday or birthday."
"And your parents don't mind?" Aurora asked as she plucked a rather dark shade of lipstick from the well-organized section which held multiple. "My mum freaked out the first time I put lip-gloss on."
"They do demand for natural and light and all that age-appropriate stuff for now." Hope confirmed the older girl's suspicion. "So, whatever you see in there that seems rather an odd choice in view of that... I stole it from Eden." Her sister certainly didn't miss it considering her own stash was even bigger than Hope's.
"I'm going to need someone to make the choices for me, because there is absolutely too many in here." Gwen announced, holding up multiple pallets of eyeshadow colours she thought would go well with her dress.
"All that can be arranged, but first..." Hope began to clap her hands as she walked towards the girls, starting to shepherd them together as if they were a flock of sheep. "Time to get into your dresses ladies, because I will not have my lovely work destroyed or the fabrics and details either."
"Fine! Fine! We're going!" Olivia yelped in surprise as she was pushed into the heard and towards where all five dresses hung. Only once Hope grabbed her own and stepped towards one of the beds to change did the redhead turn to the rest of her four friends and spoke in a silent whisper. "Prepare to face the consequences of giving Hope too much power."
"I heard that!" The Slytherin called out from where she stood before turning to the older Hufflepuff with a questioning look in her eyes. "Gwen, where are the rest of your dormmates? You sure no one will mind us using their space?"
"Oh, don't worry about it. They all went to Jenny Freemont's room to get ready." Gwen reassured the girl as she unzipped the side of her dress, making sure she could freely step into it when time came.
"Just wanted to make sure. And guys..." The sound of Hope's voice trailing off as she debated whether to say what was on her mind had all the girls now turning to her curiously as they waited. "Thank you for letting me join you in getting ready. It's really nice to, you know, do this with friends and have fun."
