[Time Skip to 2 Days before leaving for Tokyo]

It was two days before Isla and her family were set to leave for Tokyo. Isla was frantically packing, then unpacking, thinking she had forgotten something and had to reorganize her whole suitcase.

'Munchkin, what're you doing?" Jay asked his daughter as he walked into the room, carefully stepping through the mess on the floor.

"What does it look like I'm doing? I'm trying to pack for the Olympics," Isla sassed her father as she looked at the stuff scattered around her room.

"Hey! I can go without the sass," Jay scolded his daughter lightly. "I thought you were already packed for Tokyo."

"I was, but then I forgot something, and I had to reorganize it, and then I realized I forgot something else, and it's just a never-ending cycle," Isla sighed, plopping herself on the bed next to her father.

"Do you want me to help?" Jay asked, hoping that his helping her pack would take away some of the stress and anxiety off her shoulders.

"That'd be great," Isla told her father.

"So, let's list everything you want to bring to Tokyo, and then we can check it off as we pack it in the suitcase. Sound good?" Jay asked as he got up from his daughters' bed and grabbed a notebook and pen from the desk.

"That's an excellent idea. Why didn't I think of that?"

"See? I have some good ideas now and again," Jay joked.

"Mom says you having good ideas is rare, and most of your ideas land you in the hospital," Isla sassed jokingly.

"I don't always land in the hospital due to my ideas," Jay defended, walking back over to his daughter's bed and sitting beside her.

"You keep telling yourself that," Isla joked, patting her father on the back.

"Alright, let's get started on this list so we can clean your room," Jay said.

Bringing to Tokyo

USA Clothing

Makeup

Hair Styling Tools

Hair Ties

Work-out clothes

Sneakers

Stuffed Animals

"Is that all?" Jay asked, setting the pen on the bed and reviewing the list with Isla.

"I think so," Isla nodded, glancing over the list one last Time. "Let's do this!"

Just as Isla and Jay got off the bed, Hailey walked into the room, startled by the mess in her daughter's room.

"What the heck happened in here?"  Hailey asked her daughter and husband. "It looks like a tornado came through here."

"An anxious girl trying to pack is what happened," Isla joked. "But Dad and I made a list of everything I'm bringing, and now we just have to pack it all up."

"Well, I'll help," Hailey said, walking over to her husband and daughter.

The three Halsteads worked together to ensure Isla had everything she wanted to bring to Tokyo in the suitcase. Once Isla was happy with it, Isla wheeled the suitcase to the front hall, where her parent's bags were.
