Jinx Hargreeves was born on 13 August 2005. An abnormal birth as her mother wasn't pregnant the morning before. She was adopted by Reginald Hargreeves and became a part of the Umbrella Academy, little did she know the adventures awaiting her. End of...
Jinx came walking down the stairs looking at Vanya and Pogo as both have become quiet when she asked the question. "Jinx is that really you?" Vanya asked. The two of them haven't seen each other in 5 years so it was quite an adjustment. She had grown, her hair was dip dyed a blue colour and she had a bracelet which Vanya had never seen. Jinx laughed as Vanya asked the question. Her laugh filled up the entire room and made Vanya smile. Her sister had a way to make that happen. "Yes it's me Vanya!" she replied to her sister, coming to a stop right in front of her. Vanya hugged her sister tightly. "God I've missed you Jinx," Vanya said gripping tightly around her sister. Jinx held her arm open so that Pogo could join the hug as well and he did. The three of them were standing like that for a long time before they heard some noise coming from the hallway. Jinx flicked her bracelet and the same blue light flickered out of it. She ran straight to where the noise was coming from leaving Vanya staring shocked after her.
...
Allison walked into a room filled with all the photos that the Academy has ever taken. A life sized mural with all of her siblings on it. She smiled looking down and seeing the figurines that they played with daily, making imaginary missions. She picked up an old TEEN magazine and flipped through the pages. She stopped as one of the articles was about her. 'YOUNG ALLISON graces every cover, glamorous, already a star in the making. "Have You Heard The Rumour?" "Rumour Has It!"' "Allison," Luther says standing in the doorway looking at his sister. The last time they saw each other was when the Academy disbanded. "I wasn't sure if you were going to come. Where's Patrick?" Allison turned around and he could see she seemed upset. "Filed for divorce eight months ago. Sole custody over Claire," she answered. "I'm sorry." Luther tried to brighten the mood by picking up a magazine hoping to find something in there. "So he's really gone?" Allison asked peering over his shoulder to the cover of the magazine. "When's the last time you spoke to him?" Luther asked, putting down the magazine. "God, who knows. Before Claire was born. Probably seven, eight years ago." "He called me every day. Every single day," Luther said chuckling slightly.
"You know what I love about funerals?" a voice asked, entering the room. "Everything I own is black!" Klaus floated into the room. He seemed high again as usual. "If it isn't my baby sister and space boy!" he said. "It's Luther," Luther said seeming irritated. "The old man kicks the bucket and the code names are the first to go...shame." Klaus was now looking around the room as well. Luther and Allison were sceptically looking at each other and then back at Klaus. He turns around to say something but suddenly falls over a box behind him. There was a loud crashing sound and suddenly Jinx appeared out of breath with her bracelet fired up. She stops as she sees her older brother laying under a load of boxes and other books. She sighed pushing Luther out of her way, causing him to grunt softly, and helping Klaus up with one of her spells. Luther was surprised by her sudden increase in strength. "Jinx?" Allison said being surprised by what she just did. She turned around and saw Allison. Jinx gasped running to her sister, accidentally dropping Klaus in the process, and giving her sister a tight hug. "I've missed you so much!" She buried her face into Allison's neck.
Luther walked over helping Klaus up again. Klaus stares at the little girl hugging Allison tightly before realising who it was. "Jinx Hargreeves... well I'll be damned." Klaus walked over as Jinx released Allison from the hug. "You're still so short," Klaus says, before Jinx punches him lightly in his shoulder. Allison and Luther chuckle slightly at this. "Ow!" Klaus says dramatically and puts his hand on his forehead, as if he was about to faint. Jinx giggles and pulls her brother in for a hug. He played with her hair as she looked up at him, her eyes glowing a fiery blue and he left her hair and instead just hugged her back. "Did y'all see Diego?" Luther asked breaking the silence. "With his stupid little mask," Allison said chuckling and shaking her head. Klaus and Jinx were still hugging each other as the other two were talking. "You look really pretty," Klaus whispered into her ear. "I know," she replied smirking. Klaus pushed her off jokingly and turned to face Luther. Jinx jumped onto Klaus's back and they were staring at their siblings. "Come on...let's get this funeral over with," Luther told them. "Race you!" Jinx yelled. She had jumped off Klaus's back and ran down the corridor to the dining room. Klaus was trying to catch up to her but failed. "No fair! You cheated!" Luther and Allison could hear Klaus yelling down the corridor and their little sister still giggling with joy. Luther heads out the door to look at his two crazy siblings before turning back to see Allison gazing around the room once more. "Hey Allison...It's really good to see you again," he said trying to catch her gaze. "You too," she replied making eye contact. They both looked at each other until Luther broke eye contact and left the room, proceeding towards the dining room where he could still hear Jinx giggling.
(Soon after)
All of the siblings were sitting around the table as Luther walked in and took his place at the head of the table. Jinx rolled her eyes, thinking he was kind of entitled to just assume to take the head of the table. He probably thinks just because he is number one he has all the advantages, she thought. "Can we get this over with?" Diego asked, playing with one of his knives. "I thought we could hold the memorial service at sundown at dad's favourite tree," Luther continued ignoring Diego's comment. "He had a favourite tree?" Allison asked looking at him like he was going crazy now. "The big old elm tree," Jinx answered the question before Luther. She was playing with her magic in between her fingers. As she moved her fingers the magic seemed to follow. "We still have a lot to discuss." Luther looked around at everyone making sure he had their attention. "Question: will there be food?" Klaus asked before Jinx kicked him. He shot a pained expression her way. She knew she didn't kick him too hard so she just stuck out her tongue. He smiled at her. Jinx and Klaus had a crazy relationship other than the other siblings. Before the academy disbanded and he turned to drugs, they were always doing crazy experiments. For example, what happens if you mix cocaine with cider. Or when you add alcohol to cigarettes. Okay, maybe not before he turned to drugs but before the academy disbanded.
"We need to talk about the way dad died," Luther continued. "And here we go!" Diego said slamming the knife into the table. "I thought it was a heart attack?" Vanya asked sceptical. She was used to her brother making impossible situations in his head but now he was starting to worry her. "It was according to the coroner's report-" "I think he'd know," Allison interrupted her brother's train of thought, as he was taking things too far again. "His heart stopped at 4:32 in the morning. We know that because of his pacemaker. There are over 250 cameras on the property. You know how dad was-" Luther said before he was interrupted by all his siblings at once. "Paranoid?" "Insane?" "Tall?" "Maniac?" Luther grunted trying to keep his cool and tried to make his point again. "He died at 4:32. Three minutes before that, the cameras stopped. All of them. Ten minutes later they came back online again." The siblings sit in silence, letting everything sink in. "Wait I'm sorry I wasn't listening. What?" Klaus said before getting slapped form behind by Jinx. Luther nods at Jinx. She understood the point and she also wanted to solve this mystery.
"So what you're saying is that someone killed him and made it look like a natural cause?" Allison said. "And then erased the footage," Luther finished her sentence. "But who had this kind of access?" Vanya was confused. Her brother was definitely taking this situation way too far again. "It's the same system from when we were kids. Retinal scan grants full access. I tested it to make sure." Luther said looking at all of his siblings again. Jinx stopped playing with her powers and looked down trying to process it all. Luther looked specifically at her. At that moment she did look very suspicious. "So the actual reason why you're telling us this is not so that we can help you," Diego said chuckling. "It's because you think it's one of us." The siblings start arguing before Jinx blasts a blue ray across the room. "Enough!" She yells her hair standing up and her eyes glowing. "So there's definitely no food?" Klaus asks.
