Lisa's POV

{Continuation of Flashback}

"What did you do?" The three of us asked the bear with full curiosity.

Seulgi: Well, I had a talk with Wendy in the black room and she was talking about this theory of hers about the book called "Children of Psycho" and—

Rosé: Psycho? You mean Psyche, right?

Seulgi: I— I-I misheard, okay?

Moonbyul: So what happened?

Seulgi: So whenever I meet Jisoo, I always tell her the story of, you know, of Psyche and I told her that I might be one of Psyche's children because that's the theory of Wendy. That we were all Psyche's.

Seulgi: But instead of Psyche—

Seulgi: I told her that "I'm one of the Psycho" instead.

Both me and Rosé looked at the poor monolid-eyed bear weirdly as Moonbyul started cracking up. I examined Seulgi if she was joking but based on her facial reaction, she wasn't. I just gave her a disgusting look as she straight up drank the can of beer in her hand.

Just as Seulgi said, Wendy has a theory that me and the rest of my friends from the black room came from the goddess named Psyche. That she was our creator together with her lover named Eros or as people on earth commonly known him as Cupid.

According to Wendy's findings, Psyche is the most beautiful woman on earth. Her great beauty can't be even compared to Venus or famously known as Aphrodite, the goddess of Love, Beauty, and Desire.

Men on earth have started worshiping Psyche. They said this mortal's beauty surpasses Aphrodite's and that the temples of the goddess were neglected and fell into ruins. Aphrodite heard about it and got jealous of Psyche.

So she sent her son Cupid to a task where he should use his arrow to make Psyche fall in love with a despicable man. But when Cupid saw Psyche, even if he hadn't used his arrows, he ended up falling for Psyche.

Cupid made Psyche his wife but the winged god never showed himself to Psyche. He would only be with Psyche during the night when there was no light. He told his wife that she should never see the face of her husband.

When Psyche's curiosity got the best of her, she disobeyed her husband and brought a lamp with her. Psyche went to her sleeping husband and accidentally poured some of the hot oil from the lamp into his husband.

Psyche thought that his husband was a hideous serpent because that was what her jealous and bitter sisters had told her. To her surprise, Cupid was the opposite of hideous. He was the fairest man she had ever seen.

When Cupid was woken up by the pain from the hot oil burning his skin, he got terrified and fled away from Psyche because his beloved wife broke his trust. Saying that "Love cannot live where there is no trust".

According to the book that Wendy had read, Aphrodite knew what happened to her son. Psyche went to see Aphrodite but the jealous goddess gave her a number of impossible tasks which Psyche surprisingly fulfilled.

The last task that was given to her was going to the underworld and obtaining the golden box from the goddess of the underworld named Proserpine, the wife of Hades. According to the mother of her husband, it's a box containing the beauty of Proserpine.

When Psyche got a hold of the box, her curiosity once again got the best of her, and opened it. To her shock, she found nothing except dark clouds that made her fall into a deep sleep. When Cupid recovered from the burns, he immediately sought his wife.
