Silence. There's silence in my brain, silence in body, & silence in my soul. What I just saw 2 hours ago is still fresh in my mind. It hasn't disappeared yet. The bullet flying in the air, heading straight for Clark's lower back. The gushing blood from the bullet wound made a huge pool around Clark's body. That's a lot of blood, too much blood. I didn't think such a amount was in a human's body. His last words "Help me!" before going unconscious echoed in my head. I saw Clark get shot by my father. My biological father. He did it right in front of me. He showed no mercy. It wasn't just out of angry or pity but for revenge too. The daring look in his eyes. He was desperately looking for a reason to shoot Clark. Clark gave him a reason. After Prince shot Clark, him & Uncle Tony fled the scene. I called the ambulance & they took him to the hospital. I rode with them. They were trying to revile him. They tried everything to make him conscious again. But he gave them a pulse instead. They rushed him into the emergency room. Doctor's, nurses came flying out like roaches. They were doing their duty. Me? I've been here sitting in the lobby. The nurse called the Jackson family. I didn't know they were here until now.

"Excuse me ma'am? Are there any updates on Donald Clark?" Rebbie asked politely.

"For the fifth time, the doctor hasn't hasn't said anything new. He's still in with Mr. Clark." The nurse said slightly agitated.

"Then, go get the doctor bitch!" Janet cursed at the nurse. "Tell his ass to come out here & talk to us!"

"Excuse me! This is an establishment not the projects! You will not speak that way in here! You can either show some respect or leave." The nurse snapped.

Janet's eyes widen a bit, "Who the fuck do you think your talking too? You don't know me bitch! I will whoop your ass!"

The nurse picked up the hospital phone, "Is that a threat? I'm calling the police!"

"Fuck you & the police, bitch!" Janet exclaimed.

Latoya quickly stepped in, "There's no need for the police ma'am. We're just very worried about our dear friend. I apologize for my sister's outburst. We will wait on the doctor."

The nurse put the phone down, "Have a seat & the doctor will be right with you."

Janet flipped the middle finger at the nurse before walking back to the lobby with the others.

"I can't believe this! Clark just got out of jail & now he's been shot? Is this bad luck?" Latoya said.

"Amy? Do you know what happened?" Rebbie asked softly.

I'm in no mood to talk. I'm worried about Clark. I hope he's okay. That bullet wound looked severe. It could possibly kill him. Oh God! What did I do? I should've listened to him. I should've just went home with him & all of this would've been avoided.

Latoya moved over to my side, "Don't question her now, Rebbie. Amy is in shock."

I felt her wrapped her arm around my shoulder, "It's okay, Amy. Michael & the others will be here at any minute."

"What did the police say, Latoya?" Janet asked.

"For now, they're questioning people that were present when the shooting happened. They aren't any cameras outside the stores & buildings." Latoya said.
