The riot is over. The police managed to arrest some people that was at the riot. The construction workers are working on the streets. Stores have been fixed & restocked. Everything seem to be semi-normal. But people are doing some suing. The governor made a statement about the riot & have apologized for the destruction of Minneapolis. Although, the riot is currently under investigation. This all happened last night, 15 hours ago. Currently, i'm sitting in the chief's office with a blanket wrapped around my cold body. I've been here all morning waiting on Dad to come pick me up. The chief got a hold of him right after the riot. They offered me food & drink but i declined. I'm not much in a hungry mood. Not after what happened last night. I'm still trying to process it all.
I looked down at the chained cap & red scarf that's in my hands. Prince left it on the ground after he ran off. I have to admit his style is unique, i like it. It's different from what other men wear nowadays. They mostly just wear suit & tie. I ran my finger across the soft red fabric. The scarf had the strange symbol all over front & back. I wrapped it around my neck feeling the softness of it. It fit's perfectly. Prince was kind to me, like a gentlemen. He wasn't rude or nasty. He was very nice & friendly. I touched the cold chain that's laying on my chest. It feels more lighter then heavy now. He gave me this chain. Why? He showed me his eyes, hazel green eyes. They were so beautiful & sparkly. His eyes were soft the entire time he was looking at me. I have this strange feeling that he knows me. Does he? Coincidence? I don't think so. Or maybe it is?
"Amy?" I heard a familiar voice called out. I looked up to see Dad running towards me with opened arms. He tackled me to the floor hugging me tightly. His curly hair was in my face & mouth.
"Hi, daddy." I muffled in his hair.
"Oh, thank god your okay! I was worried sick about you! Everyone in the family was trying to find you. I even had my people's come out looking for you!" He kissed me all over my face leaving saliva everywhere.
I scrunched up my face gently pushing Dad off me. I pulled the blanket back over me. I'm still cold from the corrupted fire hydrant. But i didn't want Dad seeing the chain & scarf. I tucked the chained cap into my wet jacket.
"I'm alright, dad."
"You scared me half to death!" I could tell he was already crying due to his wet moist face. He wiped away his tears & straighten himself.
"Dad, Mr. Clark is missing! These group of girls came out of nowhere & took him away. I don't know where they went. We have to find him!"
"Honey, they found Mr. Clark on the side of the road."
I stood up from the ground "Side of the road? Is he okay?"
He stood up as well "He's fine, he's outside in the car waiting on us." I couldn't help but notice dad's attire, it's different. He wasn't wearing his usual suit & tie. Instead, he was wearing athletic clothes. A orange button down shirt with a white top & black trousers. But he was wearing his professional shoes. (He never leaves home without it.)
