The Pollywog - [PT2] - FINAL PT

y/n's pov

Will explained to me how he was 100% sure that Dart is a Demogorgon. We went to our classes and the bell rang, which was the final bell, meaning it was time to go home.

"Will, Y/n, you coming? Let's go show Mr. Clarke."

Will and I slowly walked over to Mike.

"What? What?" He looked at us confused.

"It's about D'artgnan." Will told him with a monotone voice. As we walked to Mr. Clarke's class, Will explained to Mike what he told me.

Dustin was just about to open the box when we burst in.

"Stop!" Mike exclaimed.

"We're really sorry Mr. Clarke. It was just a stupid prank. We told him to stop." I said.

"What the hell are you doing?" Dustin questioned as I grabbed the box.

"We need to go, right now. Right now!" Mike yelled as we all ran out of the classroom, leaving poor Me. Clarke super confused.

We went to the AV room, but for some reason Mike wouldn't let Max in. She was banging on the door.

"Hello? Hello! Guys, come on. Can I come in yet?" She shouted from the other side of the door.

"No!"

"Mike, come on just let her in." I tried to convince Mike.

"No! This stuff is private."

We explained to Lucas and Dustin.

"I don't understand." Lucas stated.

"What part do you not understand?" I asked.

"Will saw something that looked like Dart last year?"

"Kind of." Will started. "But there was no tail."

"But then he heard it yesterday. The exact same sound." Mike added.

"Why didn't you tell us before?" Dustin looked at Will.

"I wasn't sure."

"So it's a coincidence." Dustin tried to convince himself that Dart was not a Demogorgon.

"Or not. What if when Will was stuck in the Upside Down, he somehow acquired True Sight?" I inquired.

"True Sight?"

"It gives you the power to see into the ethereal plane." Dustin informed.

"Elaborate." Lucas said.

"Maybe these episodes that Will keeps having aren't really flashbacks at all. Maybe they're real." I said.

"Maybe Will can somehow see into the Upside Down."

"So, that would mean.." Lucas began.

"Dart is from the Upside Down."

"We have to take him to Hopper."

"No way. If we take him to Hopper, Dart's as good as dead." Dustin acknowledged.

"Maybe he should be dead." I looked over at Dustin.

"How can you say that?" Dustin shouted.

"How can you not?" Mike shouted back.

"He's from the Upside Down." I said.

"Maybe. But even if he is, it doesn't automatically mean that he's bad."

"That's like saying just because someone's from the Death Star doesn't make them bad."

"We have a bond." Dustin sighed.

"A bond?" I repeated.

"Just because he likes nougat?"

"No, because he trusts me!" Dustin yelled.

"He trusts you?"

"Yes, I promised I would take care of him."

Dart began to screech inside the box. The box started jumping up and down. I looked up at everyone, they all had the same expression.

Mike picked up the intercom microphone and held it up.

"Don't hurt him." Dustin held up a finger.

"Only if he attacks."

"Just open it already."

Dustin grabbed the latch from the box and pressed on it, causing the box to open up. Dart rolled out of it, but now, he was 2 times bigger than before.

"Holy shit!" I yelled. I looked over at Will. He was terrified. He looked at me with wide eyes. I latched onto his hand and looked back at Dart. He grew two more legs and screeched at us. Mikes instincts caused him to slam the microphone, an attempt to hit Dart.

"No!" Dustin pushed Mike's arm, causing him to miss. Dart jumped off the table and ran to the door. The door suddenly shot open, letting Dart escape.

We all ran out of the room. Dustin fell on top of Max and Lucas fell next to her.

"Where'd he go?"

"What was that?" Max stood up.

"Dart!"

"What?"

"You let him escape!" Mike looked at Max.

"Why did you attack him?" Dustin shouted at Mike.

Mike rolled his eyes. "Come on." He ran off to go find Dart.

We all split up to find Dart. I walked around, going through classrooms and bathrooms.

"Nothing here."

We kept looking for another couple minutes.

"Guys." Will spoke through the supercom. "I found him."

"Where?"

"In the bathroom by Mr. Salerno's."

"I'm going." I began to run in that direction. Dustin got there before me.

"Is he here?" I asked.

"Nope."

I sighed. "Where's Will?"

"I don't know. He wasn't here when I got here."

I walked out and walked past the door that lead to the field. I saw a figure standing there, so I went outside and ran up to it. It was Will.

this is such a short chapter but we're gonna ignore that🙏
