Clouded Thoughts (Eddie Munson X Y/N Story)

Y/n leaned into Eddie as they continued to walk down the street.  

"We should get back now, you can grab your stuff and I'll walk you home" Y/n said,

"Okay, but you don't have to walk me home," Eddie responded.

"It's alright, I need to get out of the house more anyway."

As Y/n and Eddie made their way back home some basketball jocks from school came up to them.

"Hey freak, hanging out with your girlfriend?"  it was Jason. 

"Go away Jason, we didn't invite you and your minions to come and bully us like five year olds."

"She's not my girlfriend Jason, leave us be."

Jason and his jock friends continued blabbering to Y/n and Eddie, who ignored them. Y/n leaned towards Eddie's ear and whispered softly.

"Follow me, I now a shortcut to get home. Maybe we'll lose these idiots,"

Eddie nodded and Y/n grabbed his hand and led him towards a wood just across the road.

"Ay! Where are you two going!?" Jason yelled, starting to run after us.

"Run run run!" Eddie said.

Y/n led Eddie through the forest by the hand, ducking under branches and swerving around trees. After a few minutes the Jason and his friends voices had died out and they had started to walk through the forest.

"Thank god that's over," Y/n said, smiling softly.

"Yeah, those guys are such idiots." Eddie responded, making a silly face. 

Y/n and Eddie laughed. 

"My house is just past those trees"

The two continued walking towards Y/n's house. And went inside. It was only then Eddie realised they were still holding hands.

"Oh, um sorry Y/n" he said, letting go of her hand.

"That's alright" she smiled back.

"Oh, you guys are back!" Y/n heard her dad say.

"Yeah, hi dad. Let me introduce you to Eddie" Y/n responded as she led Eddie to the living room, where her dad was sitting watching TV.

"Dad, this is Eddie, Eddie this is Greg"

"Nice to meet you Eddie," Greg said, shaking his hand firmly.

"Nice to meet you too."

"Dad, Eddie has to get home, I'm going to walk him." Y/n said, as her mum walked into the room.

"Are you sure honey?" She said

"Yes mum, I'll be careful don't worry" Y/n responded.

Eddie went upstairs and grabbed his guitar while Y/n grabbed a jacket.

"Ready to go?" Eddie asked.

"Yup." 

The two made their way out the door and Eddie wrapped his arm around Y/n, who smiled. They walked in a peaceful silence for a bit, until Eddie spoke,

"You know you didn't have to walk me home" he said.

"No, as I said, it's alright I need to get out more."

"Well if you wanted to get out more maybe... I could take you out?

Was this the moment Eddie had hoped for, or was it the complete opposite? 

Y/n POV

Was Eddie asking me out? What was I going to say? I mean, I had developed feelings over the past couple days. How could I not? He was really sweet and we shared interests, plus he looked really cute.

"Um, I'd love that Eddie!" I said, his face lit up at my words.

"Really! That's um, great!"

I leaned against Eddie, who's arm was still wrapped around me. A few minutes later we neared his trailer.

"Alright, Tuesday night at the movies?" Eddie said,

"Sounds good" I replied.

"Well then" Eddie said, scratching his head "see you later."

"Bye Eddie, I love you"

"I love you too Y/n"
