Y/n ran out of the house in disbelief, tears blurring her vision. She ran back to Eddie's trailer and knocked, and knocked, and knocked. Getting no answer she fell down and leaned on the trailer door, sniffing quietly.
"Hey, are you alright?" a gentle voice said,
Y/n looked up to see a girl with a worried expression, she had red hair and light blue eyes, she was wearing a blue jersey and black sweatpants. And to accessorise she had a walkman and deep red vans.
"Not really" Y/n responded.
"Wanna talk about it?" the girl asked,
"I guess" Y/n replied, sitting up slightly.
"Okay then, I'm Max" Max said sitting down, across from Y/n.
"I'm Y/n"
"So, what's happening with you?" Max asked softly,
"Eddie, one of my really good friends is missing" Y/n replied.
"Oh. I'm really sorry, how did you two meet?"
"Well, I left something at my seat after lunch, he came and gave it to me. We went from there"
"Ok, do you know where he may have gone?" Max questioned,
"No, I'm not sure. Why are you helping me? I've literally never seen you before"
"Because I'm having trouble with my friends too. Just, not as serious as yours. I though maybe I should help others to keep my mind off of them"
"Oh"
"Yeah, do you want to come to my place? Maybe we could discuss places Eddie may have gone?" Max suggested.
"Sure" Y/n smiled slightly.
Max jumped up and offered Y/n her hand who took it gratefully. They walked to Max's which happened to be just across the road and went inside. After being in her rather bug house, Max's trailer seemed quite small, but it reminded Y/n of Eddie immensely. Max led Y/n over to a small round table and gestured for her to sit. Max walked over to the fridge and spoke,
"Do you want a drink? We have water aaaaanddd.... water" she said,
"Sure, I think I'll take a water thanks" Y/n responded.
Max grabbed their drinks and came and sat down,
"I know you said you're not sure where he may have gone, but any suggestions would help at this point"
"Okay, well he mentioned this spot in the woods one time, and he's in a band so he goes to Gareth's to practice sometimes."
"Ok... sounds like we should check those places out" Max said, writing some things down on a notepad. She jumped up and opened the front door, gesturing for Y/n to follow. They made their way to Gareth's and asked a couple questions,
"Eddie's missing!?" was the first thing he said,
"Yes he's missing!" Max responded.
"Sorry I don't know where he'd be, I'll get with the HellFire boys and we'll look for him" Gareth said determinedly.
Y/n nodded and tried her best to smile. After the two girls left Gareth's they made their way to the woods. After searching for a couple hours the sun had started to set, Y/n was getting really worried and the tears had started coming again.
"Hey, we'll find him, don't worry" Max said soothingly,
"I know" Y/n said in-between tears. "I just can't help but worry."
Max nodded understandingly. "I get it, when I was little my dog went missing for a few weeks, we found him but he was really sick. We had to put him down a few months later"
"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have dragged you into this" Y/n said guiltily.
Hey, no it was my choice, I could've left when I wanted to. Plus I've been through much worse" Max replied.
"Really? What happened?" Y/n asked curiously,
"Trust me, you do not want to know."
The two girls chuckled and continued looking for Eddie. After a few more hours with no success they started to make their way back home when they came across a bench.
"I think this is the place Eddie told me about" Y/n pointed,
"It's quite close to school, I don't understand why he'd stay here when he could just walk home" Max stated.
"Yeah" Y/n replied and begun walking again. "Let's go" she said turning towards Max. But she was frozen and looked like she had just seen a ghost.
"Max? Are you alright?" she didn't reply. "Max?" Y/n walked towards her slowly. She then turned and gasped, looking at the sight infront of her.
The bloody, mangled, lifeless body. Of Eddie Munson.
