▪️Valeries point of view▪️
I'm so conflicted! I really don't know what to think.
I woke up with a killer headache, and I just cuddled with that Sally plush Vinny won me.
Just thinking of him made my stomach do loops.
I hopped off my bunk, feeling cold, and I shoved on one of Vinny's hoodies and got back into my bunk.
I was currently chilling out in my bunk, writing in my journal about my feelings. I can't shift the feeling that I'm being watched. Or as if someone is talking about me?
Anyway, I sighed a sad breath as I reflected on the events of the previous few days and began to write in my journal.
'I've known Vinny for a few months now, I'm sure I can trust him. Hell, I can probably trust him with my life, but can I trust him with my heart?
This is probably selfish of me, since I've led him on. But now we are at the stage where probably an important decision should be made, and I'm scared.
I'm scared of being alone, but I'm also scared that what has happened in the past will happen again. But I yearn for his lips on mine again.
Maybe Callie was right, I need to get my priorities straight instead of running away, but I'm not ready for that yet.'
I groaned into my pillow, shoved my journal under my pillow, and decided I should take the day to myself. So I began to get ready to leave.
▪️Ricky's point of view▪️
"Honestly, the way Valerie is acting, I don't think they will get together. There is definitely chemistry, but Valerie doesn't have the confidence to ask him out. I think she's scared her heart may be broken again" I sighed. "I bet $30 they won't get together on this tour."
"Well, I have high hopes for them. I bet $30 they will get together before the tour ends," Justin betted, and the other guys agreed with him.
"Maybe we should give them a push?" Chris sighed, glancing at Vinny, who was playing Mario Kart with a sad look on his face.
"Yeah, he looks like a puppy who's been kicked in the face," Ryan chimed in, eating a Cheeto.
"But what can we do?" I groaned, hitting my head on the window.
"We'll figure it out. But we have to focus on getting into the hotel properly" Chris reassured
"I've got it!" Justin whisper-yelled. "We put them in a hotel room together! Then they have to face each other. Also, make certain that there is only one bed." He smirked,
"Yeah, good idea. Let's check in on Vin; perhaps a boys' day? Maybe Valerie can go sight-seeing or something," I added, standing up.
"So we are just sending Valerie into the lions' den of New York City!" Ryan sobbed quietly, his hand on his heart.
"She's a big girl, Ryan. She's not a child," Chris sighed, and we all moved to get Vinny.
We all went and sat down beside Vinny, and I picked up the second controller, and we began playing.
▪️
"Umm, hey guys! Hi Vinny. I'm going to go sight seeing today; is there a specific time I should be back?" Valerie asks, walking in. She was standing very shyly, and red tinted her cheeks. It was evident she was looking right at Vinny, and he was looking right back at her.
I rolled my eyes; it's so obvious they like each other. I just want to play cupid and make them get together! It's like reading a Wattpad book. For Christ's sake, she's evening wearing his hoodie!
"Hi Valerie," Vinny whispered, but loud enough for us all to hear. He pulled the drawstrings on his hoodie and hid away.
To say they both looked like shit was an understatement. It looks like they both have hangovers.
"Uhh, nope! Just be back before 6 because we need to check into the hotel," Chris said, and she nodded along. "Alright! If I'm not back by then, assume I'm dead!" She said as she jumped off the bus.
Vinny, unsurprisingly, went after her, leaving us the bus to ourselves.
▪️Valerie's point of view▪️
Oh, God, I knew he had been following me. I was just a few blocks away from the bus.
"Valerie, we need to talk." I heard him call after me, so I stopped speed walking to face him.
We were standing beside a busy road, and puddles covered said road, and cars were beeping their horns and revving their engines.
"What about?" I asked.
"You know full well what we need to address; come on, Vals." He replied.
My eyes widened; I don't think he had ever called me that before.
"About last night? About the kiss on the rooftop?" I interrogated, my cheeks reddening. My heart was beating so fast in my chest that it was so hard to breathe.
"I want to know what we are, Valerie. I've had time to think, and I know what I want. But do you?" He asked, looking at me with a soft look in his eye. God, I just wanted to kiss him....
"Fuck! I don't know Vin!" I started to freak out.
"We can't keep running away from this! It needs to be addressed; we are acting like petty teenagers! You need to get your priorities straight before whatever this is burns out!"
I don't know when the tears started to fall, but they did. And they flowed. Vinny's eyes widened, and suddenly I was in his warm and comforting embrace. It was like all my worries had melted away.
"I'm scared, Vin! Okay? That's why I don't know what we are!"
He grabbed my face and wiped away the tears that were streaming down my cheeks.
"Vals," he chuckled. "I don't know why you are so scared."
I balled my hand into a fist and started thumping it against his chest. "I don't want you to hate me. But, I like you, okay? I, Valerie Fluer, like you."
"O-"
"I like you, I like you, I like you." I continued to thump my fist against his chest, and he just cradled me.
"I like you too, Val."
I looked up at him, knowing it was probably true.
He grasped my chin and used the pad of his thumb to lift my chin up.
Suddenly, a car at full speed drove past, straight through the puddle on the side of the road, and splashed us both, soaking us.
Yet he just ignored it, pulled me forward, and gently placed his lips on mine.
"I, Vinny Mauro, like you."
"You do?"
"I do." He smiled softly. "Valerie, I have felt something strong for you, ever since we met in North Carolina, and the feeling has just grown. Valerie, would you like to, um" He stumbled on his words, blushing.
"Would you like to go on a date with me?"
