Chapter Twenty-Seven

Valerie had slowly but softly told Vinny what had happened between her and Chris, and his reaction really surprised her.

She expected him to be angry and to yell, just like Nathaniel. But no,

"Wait, wait, wait!" She stuttered out, "You're not mad?" She asked, turning in his grasp to face him with a shocked expression on her pale face.

"Nope, why would I be? It happened before you even met me. It's okay, Valerie; don't worry about it." He grinned, placing his cold hand on her cheek, pecking her lips, and gripping her other hand, trying to reassure her.

"Thank you! Thank you so much," she suddenly cried out, tackling herself back into his arms, knocking him onto his back, and kissing him. The two smiled through the kiss, and Vinny cradled her head,

"It's okay Val, please understand that I know you have been in past relationships. It doesn't bother me. What matters is that you're with me now and that we both have mutual feelings for each other." Vinny smiled, gently taking her face in his hands and wiping a tear from her cheek.

"You are too good to me, Vinny."

"No. You are too good to me," he smiled, bringing her lips to his own again and softly placing them together. A loving feeling spread between the two, and their hearts bubbled with joy.

They both pulled back and embraced each other; neither could wipe the smile off their faces.

Vinny took her hand in his, kissed it, and smiled. He swung their hands together and stood up,

"Let's get going then, shall we?"

"Oh, god, that set was awful! Chris, why did you decide to do our heaviest stuff? It's entertaining, but it's exhausting." Justin groaned, and Ryan nodded along.

"Yeah man, my back is killing me; I'm getting old now!" Ryan groaned,

"Hey, you aren't that old. You don't get to complain yet," one of the older technicians laughed, slapping Ryan on the back and getting back to work.

"I just love torturing you guys!" Chris joked, his voice straining,

"By the sounds of it, you love torturing yourself as well." Valerie chuckled, throwing Chris a bottle of water and giving the rest of the guys monster cans she bought from a nearby shop on her way here.

"Did you finish packing, Val?" Vinny asked, snaking an arm around her waist and pulling her close to him.

She placed her chin on his shoulder and leaned on him, waving to the other guys,

"Yup, we can just go back to the hotel now and relax. We can go in the pool, the restaurant, or the games room! So many fun things to do!"

"Hold your horses! We've got dinner reservations at a fancy restaurant, and we're meeting with Jackson," Ricky chuckled.

"Do I have to come?" Valerie groaned, hanging onto Vinny like a sloth. He tried shrugging her off, but she was stuck like a leech. He just rolled his eyes playfully and smiled.

"Come on, Val, it'll be like a little date." Vinny smiled, tugging on her arm as he held her hand.

"But it's not a date; they'll be there," she laughed, motioning to the guys, who just chuckled and pretended to be offended.

"Ouch, Valerie doesn't want to go on dates with us guys! I'm so hurt." Ryan cried, leaning on Justin's back.

"Here! Here!" Ricky, Justin, and Chris shouted, making Valerie giggle.

"Maybe going on a date and adding you guys won't be too bad. I just love you all too much!"

Everyone was wearing the attire they had worn for the photoshoot, and again, Valerie wore her platforms, giving her a height advantage over the boys.
