Chapter 10: The Seabed Temple

Y/n was with the Black Bulls looking around the ocean outside of Noelle's new spell, Sea Dragon's Cradle. However, he was also thinking about what his Squad would be called once he formed one in the Clover Kingdom. It was his main goal after figuring out what his magic attribute was.

"Oi, look ahead," Yami says releasing a puff of smoke, "Is that what you saw kid?"

Y/n looks out beyond the bubble and nods, "Yup. But it looks more tame now. Guess the full moon really does have something to do with it."

"Then let's keep going," the Captain orders, "Keep it up Noelle."

"I'm doing my best here! This spell is only as good as I can make it," she says straining to keep it up.

As the bubble goes on, it follows the wild currents and makes it's way through the roughest parts. Y/n can feel the surging mana in the currents, wondering how he would fare on his own when swimming in a full moon.

"Yeah no, I don't think I could make it without a good long rest," he says out loud.

This caught the ear of Vanessa who leaned over on him, "What is it that you are talking about Y/n? Nothing too naughty now is it?"

"Vanessa, I can promise you it's nothing like that," Y/n says looking away with a slight blush, "Now can you please move away? You're beasts are pressing on my shoulder blades."

Vanessa didn't stop, but only smiled, "Fufufufu~ Do you have a problem with that?"

"No, but Noelle looks like she might burst with how red she's getting," Y/n says quickly, "And I don't have a spell like hers to help us traverse the rest of the way."

Noelle could be seen with steam coming off her head, and her face was red. A splash of water hit her head, as it was caused from her losing focus on her spell.

"Ah! Could you two stop doing that?! I can't concentrate," Noelle yells at the two of them.

Y/n manages to get Vanessa to get off him, and looks at Noelle, "You seem to be concentrating about as much as Captain Yami when he's in the Bathroom."

"OI, that's not funny kid. Did you want to die," he asks menacingly, "Cause if you say something like that again, I'll gladly cut you in two."

Y/n smiles at his captain, "I'll take you on once we get done with this mission."

Yami smirked and scoffed, "You'd better be ready for an all out fight."

Luck whined, "Aww, how come Y/n gets to fight you to the death? I still want to!"

Magna looks at Luck, "Dude, why are you complaining? You fight Y/n till you collapse every other day!"

"But it's not enough," both Y/n and Luck say at the same time.

They looked at each other in shock, then laugh. Once the Cradle had gotten past the violent torrent of water, the squad could see the surrounding sea life. They were in awe, seeing some of the fish were surrounded by a visible aura.

"It's the mana in this area from here," Y/n explains, "Some of the sea life have lived here in this high area of mana to the point were they can develop an aura like that one."

"La! I wonder what it tastes like," Charmy says drooling.

Y/n shrugs, "Well let's just see."

Y/n opens two portals, one in the Cradle and one outside, pulling in the aura covered fish. Y/n grabbed it by the tail and chopped it with his hand. With that swift chop, the fish was then given to Charmy, who went to work using her Cotton Sheep Cooks to prepare the fish into a meal. Once it was done, Charmy raised her utensils to give Y/n a portion. They both cut a piece and took a bite.
