As Albert's eyes darkened Finney scream which disoriented the man long enough for the winged boy to run away—or try to. As he went to stand up the masked man grabbed his ankle and pulled his feet out from under him, Finney's head hit the hard ground with a thump as he began to black out. The next few minutes were a blur as a ringing in his ears set in and his eyesight grew fuzzy. All Finney could remember was the sound of yelling.

The next thing he knew he was being helped up and pulled out of the tavern that was completely wrecked, luckily it was still standing. When Finney came to his senses—at least enough to be aware of his surroundings—he brought his hand up to the back of his head, when he pulled away blood stuck to his fingers.

"What's going on?" Finney asked. He wanted to look around but it hurt to move, he felt a steady and horible thump in his head and an awful pain in his eyes.

After hitting his head from the fall and losing his conciousness, Vance made his way over to Finney and something in him snapped within; all he wanted to do in that moment was protect Finney. With the help of Donna, Griffin, and Robin—Billy was still missing—they were able to fight the bounty hunters off though when it got too rough Albert slipped out from underneath them.

Even though he was gone they knew this wasn't the end—that much was crystal clear. After the fight Vance picked up a half concious Finney while Robin and Donna helped Griffin who had gotten cut during the scuffle.

It hurt to keep his eyes opened but Finney did it anyways as he watched the angry teenager who was dragging him along. "This was a mistake," Vance's voice responded. Finney looked up to the boy with a frown. "I shouldn't have brought you here, I can't protect you like I wish I could," The winged boy stopped in his tracks to rest but Vance grabbed him by the arm to force him forward, the weak boy couldn't stop him.

"Hold on..." Finney tried to direct, he felt like the world was spinning and the motion was making him sick. "No!–" Vance yelled causing the brunette to tense up. "–If you had just listened to me then you wouldn't have gotten hurt, but you didn't listen because you are not ready for the outside world... your father was right."

The winged boy paused as his eyes stung in the wind, his shock at the outburst turned into a mixture of sadness and anger as he watched his friend who was fuming. "My father was right... he tried to warn me about you—all you're doing is hurting me. You think you have my best interest at heart but you don't and I am not stupid enough to believe you do,"

Robin who was still walking close behind carrying an injured Griffin handed the boy off to Donna as he watched Finney's tears glisten in the starlight. "Captain that's enough!" He broke up the confrontion as he neared. The blonde boy let go of the boy's arm and allowed Robin to lead Finney back to the boat, he told Vance to get it together as they left.

Finney sat down on his bed as he brought his knees to his chest. When Donna was patching Griffin back up she also took a look at the winged boys head which was bleeding though after stopping it she said it wasn't too bad. It still hurt like hell though.

Though it didn't hurt more than a knock on the door interupting his quiet before Vance stepped in. Finney tried his hardest to ignore him—he wasn't ready to talk or forgive him just yet. The pirates mouth hung open as if to speak though no words came out, before he got the chance to fill the quiet Finney did it for him. "Take me home," The injured boy demanded, his voice was filled with defeat. "No, Finney, I didn't mean what I said earlier, you know that,"

He refused eye bontact with a scoff. "Just take me home," Vance cleared his throat. "Fine–" He gave in. "–If that's what you want,"

"So now you care about what I want?" The other boy could feel tears burn his eyes as they resurfaced—Vance deserved that. "I never meant to hurt you," He tried explaining. "And yet you did," Again, well deserve. Vance bit his tongue as he left the room, leaving the brunette to his own devices.
