Chapter 12

Riley's pov

On our first day in Australia, we decided to go to "The Sydney Oprah House". After we bought our tickets. We entered the hall, to see the art exhibition.

We entered and saw a white room with rows and rows of artwork. The first painting that caught my eyes was called "The sunflower" by Vincent Van Gogh. The painting looked like it was the original. You can see the thick brushstrokes on the painting. There were many shades of yellow. Some were bright, and some were dull.

"The painting is beautiful." I stated.

"Hmmm, I don't get it." Niall shrugged. I looked at him like he was crazy.

"Seriously, what do you not get?" I asked Niall.

"Everything!" Niall said.

"Okay," I sighed. "Let's just go get something to eat then." I said.

"Sure, where shall we go?" Niall asked.

"I'm in the mood for some fried chicken." I said, as my stomach started to growl.

"Okay, sure let us head to KFC." Niall said, doing a Superman impression. I laughed at how silly Niall was being.

We walked for 5 minutes making small talks about what we did so far until we reached the nearby KFC. When we entered, I felt Niall grow stiff beside me. I looked to see if he was okay, but saw a scowl on his face.

"Niall, are you okay?" I asked him, getting worried.

"We should leave." Niall said, turning me around by the waist. Before we could take another step we heard a girl call out.

"Niall?" She called out. Niall made me walk faster.

"Keep walking, ignore her." He told me.

"Niall, wait!" She screamed. We heard her footsteps approach us. Niall stopped us and turned. When I turned around I saw a very pretty girl. She had very light brown hair that looked almost blonde. It looked natural. She had light grey eyes.

"You shouldn't be here, Giselle." Niall said.

"Can we get back together again, please Niall I still love you and I realize the mistake I made." Giselle said.

"Umm, excuse me Giselle. Niall and I are actually together." I told Giselle. After I said that she gave me a nasty look. Looking me up and down.

"Uhh, who are you and what are you doing here?" She asked me. Still giving me a nasty look.

"Umm, as I said before I am with Niall. We are together as in a couple." I explained to her. "Wow, she really is a dumb blonde." I mumbled. I heard Niall chuckle beside me. Seems like he heard what I said.

"You guys shouldn't be together. It should be me and Ni..."

"Giselle, you shouldn't be here. I am with Riley now and I love her and we are not getting back together because I am really happy to be with someone like Riley." Niall said cutting Giselle off. When Niall said he loved me, I felt my heart skip a beat. I looked at him with a big goofy smile, and Niall turned and gave me an honest smile.

"Umm... oh, okay..." Giselle said beginning to walk away.

"Giselle, sorry but I think it is time for you to move on. I have moved on and I am so happy to have someone as amazing as Riley to have come into my life." Niall said, pulling me against his side with his hand on around my waist. When I looked at him he was smiling at me lovingly, I smiled back feeling so loved by him.

"Okay... yea I guess it is time to move on." Giselle said practically in tears.

"Giselle, I'm sorry." Niall told Giselle.

"No, it's not your fault but just remember that I will always be there waiting." Giselle said, and ran away.

"Aww, Niall you love me?" I asked Niall.

"Yeah, I would do anything to know that you are safe. I know it sounds cliche but it's true I would go out of my ways to see you safe." Niall said and pulled me into a hug and gave me a kiss on the forehead.

"Niall?" I started.

"Yes, Riley that's my name"

"I love you" I said and felt brush come up on my cheeks.

"Soo... are we going to stay like this or are we going to go have dinner?" I asked, and Niall chuckled.

"Are you hungry? Because if your not we can stay like this." Niall said.

"Niall, I'm hungry." I said and my stomach growled again. I heard Niall laugh out loud.

"Okay lets go. We can go to my favorite diner. Its called "Diwine Sydney" its an Italian cuisine. I hope you like Italian." Niall said.

"I'm good with anything. I just need food." I said.

We walked the rest of the way in comfortable silence.
