The Arranged Marriage

Chapter 5

                                                                              Unexpected

                                                                              Riley's POV

"Woah, not so fast can we get to know each other first before we rush the marriage." I said.

"Mom, I would love to get to know her first there is no need to rush," Niall told his mother.

"But, I would like to get over it and I won't have to stress later." Mrs. Horan said.

"Can't we get the engagement done first, then we can think about marriage, you know after I am done my studies and find a job to support a family." I told hoping she would understand.

"Niall will be there to support the family and you know me and my husband, and your mom would be there to help you guys" said Mrs. Horan

" I don't think I am ready to get married just yet." I stated excusing myself before getting up to leave.

I went out of the house and ran to the park in this neighbourhood and sat down at the nearest bench, and broke down. It was quiet for a few seconds the I felt myself being pulled into someone chest, then I cried even harder because I knew who's chest it was. I looked up surprised to see my best friend Jordan staring down at me worried. I smiled at him reassuringly. That was unexpected, I thought.
