The Arranged Marriage

                                                                             Chapter 1

                                                                        How It All Started ...  

"Riley" my mother called. I groaned and got out of bed,"I'm coming mother" I replied. When I went downstairs my mother came towards me. "Come sit down" she said leading me to the sofa in the living room. The worried look on her face made me wonder what she wanted to talk to me about."What is it mother" I blurted out harshly."Sorry" I muttered loudly enough for her to hear and looked down ashamed at what I had done. My mother smiled at me sympathetically before she started talking about the future and starting a family, but I wanted to  complete my studies before thinking about that."Mother, can we think about this after I'm done my studies" I asked my mother. " I'm sorry darling I have to tell you something" my mother said waiting for her answer. She nodded then her mother took a deep breath." Before you were born, your father and I made a deal with a family because we were having some trouble with money. So this family offered to help under one circumstance. If my first born child would be a girl she would be married to their son" my mother hesitated before saying " I want you to marry their son".
