Time
Niall's POV
I watched as Riley went out the house. I got up and excused myself when I was almost to the front door I heard Mrs. Miller call out.
"Niall, it's okay. Let her take a walk she needs to calm down come finish your dinner by the time we're finished she will home". I reluctantly walked back to the dining room and sat down to finish my dinner. I lost my appetite so I didn't eat much. After twenty minutes I heard the door open and close, then I heard footsteps go up the stairs then I heard a door slam. I decided to go upstairs and check on Riley to see if she was alright when I was outside her door I heard sobbing.
I knocked on the door but got no response. So I went in the room and saw her curled up on her bed crying. The sight made my heart drop to the pit of my stomach seeing her like that. I walked up to her and pulled her into my chest we stayed like for what seemed like hours as she continued to sob in my chest.
"I'm sorry about my mother." I told her.
"It's okay, it is not your fault I'm just over reacting." She smiled reassuring me that it was okay, but I knew it was my mother's fault the she is sad and I had to apologise in her behalf.
"Niall, it's not your fault I just am not ready I just need some time okay?" Riley said sadly
" I also need some time to get to know you." I said.
