Gravestones and Business

Xever's room was dark as the moonlight shone through the window and everything was quiet. The small man woke up in his bed covered with the blanket as he groaned and sat upright, he rubbed his eyes while scanning the room and noticed that he was completely alone

He carefully got up and tried to find his balance, which he did, he tried to remember everything that had happened and think straight. Then he remembered how Bradford covered his mouth and took him away from his sister who went nuts on the Turtles and shot at every direction, until he passed out

"Luna" Xever whispered as he ran to the door and swung it open, only to be greeted by Chris over towering him and blocking his way

When Xever tried to push him away and run off, Chris grabbed his wrists and pushed him back into the room, ignoring his threats and squirming and slammed him against the wall after Xever had spit in his face

"You mangy little-" Chris growled as Xever hit him in the chest and tried to get away again

"Let me go!" Xever yelled as Chris got on top of him and pinned him down

Xever wanted to beat him up for forcefully taking him away when his sister's mental health was in critical state AND was getting ambushed by the Turtles all alone, he had to hear her scream and cry when she discovered that he wasn't there and had to hear her curse his name and it felt like a knife in the heart

It was too tragic and traumatizing for her and he couldn't abandon her again, the whole thing must've made her relive all the horrible memories. She needed him as much as he needed her. But Chris was way too heavy and strong to push him off him, he kept squirming, struggling and hitting him, but he wouldn't even budge or flinch

"What is it with you? Why is it that when Shredder gives us orders, you slip away to see that-that jinx?!" Chris snapped as Xever's eyes were filled with uncontrollable rage and squirmed even harder while screaming and cussing at him

"She's not a jinx, you spoiled, rotten monster! Get off of me or so help me, I'll cut your throat open! I'm not gonna let you keep me here while my little sister is being held captive by a deranged crime lord! If she gets killed, it's all because of you! She's already going into madness and I can't let her walk free like that!"

While doing that, it slowly began to sink into Chris that Xever had difficulty breathing and was getting emotional. He now sat with his whole weight onto Xever and took his face in his hands

"Would you mind calming down first, before I make you pass out again?" Chris asked irritated as Xever took a small moment to catch his breath

His weight felt surprisingly comforting to Xever and tried to breathe

Chris was wiping Xever's angry tears away without realizing it and he didn't even realize how close Chris was to his face. Xever managed to put a small grin on his face and giggled

"What?" Chris asked, feeling offended by Xever not feeling intimidated and instead viewed him like a joke and not taking him serious at all

"It sounded so, so wrong" Xever replied as he then ended up laughing and Chris immediately jumped off of him, his face turning completely red and covering his face

Xever got on his feet and watched Chris being flustered and grossed out simply because of what he said, he was such a baby

"I can't believe they call you tough yet you're disgusted by another man saying something... intimate and I'd thought the famous Chris Bradford could handle more than that" Xever snickered as he tiptoed towards the door and was about to make his escape to find Jinx

But when he opened the door, a girl wearing armor stood in the doorway and didn't look all too pleased and neither was Xever. He had to have the displeasure to walk into Karai, Shredder's daughter and second-in-command of the Foot Clan
