Chapter 9

"Wow, you cooked so much Mom" Astrid said as she went down the stairs, and he's still smiling huh.

"Hey, son, Saffira and I cooked this! Not just me" Mama answered, making Astrid laugh sacrilegiously. She's annoying. Napairap tuloy ako.

"Really Mom huh?" He said sarcastically so I rolled my eyes at him, his always epal. Di ba sya makapaniwala na niluto namin to ni Mama, duh. He knows that I don't know how to cook kase kaya ang epal nya. "So what did you cook here my love?" Astrid asked when he reached the dining area and looked at the food on the table.

Sinamaan ko lang sya nang tingin, alam nya kase na di ako marunong mag luto kaya inaasar nanaman nya ko, kasalanan ko ba na di ako marunong at hirap na hirap din ako matuto.

I don't know pero hirap na hirap talaga ako matuto mag luto!, Astrid has taught me several times but I still don't know how to cook!. Hindi ko alam kung ako yung problema or hindi lang talaga ayun yung kitchen sa akin. Huh, What ever.

"Astrid, don't be like that to your husband, be nice," Mama said to Astrid. He knew that Astrid was becoming sarcastic to me and mama knew that I was going to get annoyed. Actually, I'm really annoyed.

Astrid bit her lip to stop his loud "Why?, I was just asking where-"

i cut him off. He's so epal na.

"Let's just eat ma" sabi ko nalang kay mama dahil walang balak na tumigil si Astrid.

Mama and I cooked our dinner. Actually, si Mama lang talaga ang nag luto at pagsasaing lang ang ambag ko dahil, yun lang naman ang alam ko.

We just ate until mama asked when Astrid's graduation was. "I thought your graduation is near, Astrid" Tumango si Astrid habang ngumunguya. "So when is it?" Mom asked directly.

"Next week" He said simply. Biglang naubo si mama kaya agad ko syang inabutan nang tubig, shes was shocked.

"Next week?, What day? What date?, Bakit ngayun mo lang sinabi?" Mama look so shock. Nakikita ko yun sa muka nya.

"Next week, Thursday. " Sagot ni Astrid na kalmadong kalmado.

"Why didn't you tell me right away? Or at least your daddy?"

"I was planning to tell you on Monday, but now you know, so you know"

"Gosh Astrid,"

"I'm just about to graduate mom, don't stress too much, it's just graduation."

"It's just your graduation? Can you hear yourself?. Astrid That's your graduation as a civil engineer  student,It's a big celebration" Mama said. I knew it!, Malaking celebration talaga ang magaganao nyan dahil, graduate na tong si Astrid.

Mom asked Astrid a lot about his graduation until we finished eating. Astrid's mother said that she will talk to Papa witches is Daddy of Astrid about making a big celebration. After that, mama also went home because she said she was going to fix things etc. We just said thank you, and take care of her before she left.

And now that I'm here in the living room watching Netflix, while Astrid is upstairs studying.

Naka dalawang movie na ako nang marinig kong pababa nang hagdan si Astrid at pumuntang kusina para uminom nang tubig.

"Why are you awake?" Astrid asked when he went to the living room where I was watching.

Nilingon ko sya. "E bat ikaw gising ka pa?" Balik na tanong ko sa kanya.

"I'm studying." He said and sat next to me. I looked at him and saw his eyes is close. He's probably sleepy and tired.

"You want to sleepy na?" I asked. He look so tired.
