Silence (Valorant - Yoru x Reader)

C6. Dream

Y.N. 

You are running. Your heart is pumping faster than ever. You try to use your radiant power, but nothing is working. 

There is something after you. You try to look back, but your body won't respond to your command. You can feel it catching up to you.

Closer and 

closer.

You fall.

You swing your dagger back in hope of hurting that thing, but it dodged your attack. 

A heavy hit landed in the back of your head. 

This is it.

You feel dizzy. Your senses slowly faint away. Your head is hurting, blood running down your neck. 

This is it.

You closed your eyes.

And you woke up. 

You looked around, you are still in your empty room - empty except for the bed you are laying on right now. 

After you entered your room, Yoru went down to get some documents for your recruitment. Left alone with nothing else to do, you decide to lay on the bed for a bit to process over everything that had happened. But the second you let your guard down, you fall into sleep.

You could've at least gotten some rest, but you had that dream.

The dream... it's strange, it felt so real. The running, the pain, it's more like a part of your memory. A fragment of memory that's been hidden away from you until now. 

Perhaps something triggered it.

But you being chased and caught? That's an awful memory to start with. You've never been caught.

...not until now. 

You signed, getting off your bed to get some water. But as you are on the edge of your bed, the room door is flung open. Surprised by the sound, you lost your balance and fell to the ground, bumping your head against the wooden tiles. 

"Ouch..." you mumbled in pain as Yoru ran into the room.

"Are you okay?!" 

This might be the most emotion you have ever heard from his words so far.

"Yeah, I'm fine." you've experienced way worse incidents than this before. The fall can't do you any harm, but you sure are getting way too relaxed in this place to be surprised like that...

Then you remembered, looking up at Yoru, "why are you here?"

"I finished the documentations."

"Can't you knock before coming in?"

"I knocked several times."

You were probably sleeping at that time.

"Still not a valid reason to break into someone's room."

"I just thought..." he paused for a second. Not until now did you notice that he is holding a blue fragment in one of his hands, seems ready to fire at any moment. 

He probably thought you escaped or have the plan to attack him when he comes in... 

It's stupid how you are getting so comfortable in here. You are only a prisoner, only here so the Alpha Earth can get an advantage over Omega. They say you are their agent, but they think you are going to harm them.

It's... reasonable. 

But you can't stop yourself from feeling disappointed. What else can you possibly expect? This is exactly why you don't like working with people. 

Okay, get yourself together. 

"Let's go." you got off the ground, heading toward the door, "whatever you came here in the first place for."

He just stared at you. 

You stoped to look back at him, not even realizing your voice is raised higher than usual, "what are you waiting for? What else do you want?"

"Nothing." he finally answered, stepping in front of you to lead the way.

"Where are we going?"

"Sage's office..." being able to tell your face becoming colder than it already is without even looking, he changed his words, "the supply unit."

"Okay."

The supply area is both on the first floor and underground, with the first floor mainly filled with fresh vegetations and everything else underground. 

Yoru and you went into the underground area first.

With only the illumination of artificial light in the darkness, you feel calmed. 

You are a lone wolf, a merc. You belong to the dark. It just feels so much better to be in the shadows. You can not imagine yourself adapting to the "teamwork" and everything that they want. 

Team? 

You sneered upon the thought. 

"Are you good now?" seeing that you finally look happier, Yoru asked. 

"What do you mean? I told you I'm fine since the start."

"..." Yoru chose to ignore the topic, leading you into the storage area instead, "take whatever you need for your room. If you can't find something here, send a request to Sage."

You looked at the massive underground space. From daily items to weapons, they sure got everything in here. 

"The weapon area is authorized. You can't get in until you have an id." Noticing your shift of attention, Yoru explained, then walked away to the daily use section. 

Not knowing where to start for your supplies, you followed him. 

He went to the food storage area, and grabbed several bags of dog food. 

"You have a dog?"

"No, these are for Skye's dogs."

"You mean Tasmanian tigers."

"Yes, whatever. How do you even know?"

"I have my ways."

Yoru scanned his id under a machine, seemingly used for record keeping. 

Looking at him, it's hard to disagree that Yoru having a pet really is a cute concept...

"Are you not going to get something for your room?" His words pulled you back from your imagination that is clearly running wild. 

"I don't know where to start."

"Begin with furnitures then," Yoru signed lightly, but doesn't seem annoyed, 

"follow me."
