Lucy POV

Shooting up from my bed startled from another nightmare about the events that lead up to me leaving Magnolia, I looked around to see the TV showing a blue glow from the DVD player signaling the movie we all fell asleep to had ended. I saw that Erza and Levy were still sound asleep, causing me to sigh with relief that any possible talking or screaming in my sleep didn't want them up. As I got out of bed to turn off the TV I saw it was only four thirty in the morning causing me to yet again sigh, but this time because I was annoyed to be awake at this hour. I put the disc to Twilight Breaking Dawn part two back into its case. I realize that's probably why I had a nightmare. I never told them that this series was the last movie Natsu and I watched together, but they insisted on a twilight marathon last night.

I smiled seeing how peacefully my friends were sleeping. Seeing as I wasn't going to be falling back asleep I turned off the TV and DVD player and carefully stepped over Erza's legs, walking towards my closet to get clothes for the day. Deciding against turning my speaker on a low volume not to disturb the girls in the other room, I turned the water on and waited for it to warm up a bit before getting in the shower. Pulling my makeup out and laying it across my sink, I stopped and stared at myself in the mirror, letting the events of that week play out in my head. I remember how during the time I couldn't get myself to speak, he'd spend his days making me meals, personally feeding me if I refused to eat. He'd come up with these strange little one man skits to try and get me to laugh. At the time all it did was make me smirk a little, but remembering now it made me chuckle with a heartfelt smile.

Getting into my shower and washing my hair, I began to think about what everyone was refusing to tell me about. They say it's not because I didn't call, even if it is I won't apologize for it. I needed him when I left and he knew that. I didn't say anything to offend him when we ran into each other last week. At least I don't think? I don't know when I had sat down in the tub with my arms wrapped around my legs, but I sat there until I finally noticed the tears. I turned the water off and got out taking a towel to dry off and started to apply light but darker makeup today to somewhat coordinate with my outfit. I went for a look that kind of made me look like a casual biker chick. I was wearing ripped jean shorts, black combat boots, a white t-shirt and a short backed black leather jacket, leaving the jacket open to show my shirt. I blame this outfit on spending too much time with Gajeel in the garage while we both work on cars. I left my hair down today.

Exiting the bathroom I saw it was now quarter past five and I knew Juvia and Gajeel would be awake getting ready to open the shop. Seeing that the girls were still asleep spread across my floor, I gave Gajeel a call.

"Bunny girl, do you realize it's five in the morning and I just woke up. What do you want? What are you even doing up this early?" A rather groggy and cranky Gajeel answered.

"I couldn't sleep. Anyways I was wondering when you guys would be at the shop? I was thinking since I can't sleep may as well get the day started early rather than half way through the day.

"Yeah. Sure. Whatever. We'll be there in like twenty to get ready to open. You can meet us there."

After that the line went flat. I didn't realize he was so cranky when he woke up. Feeling my phone vibrate I thought it was Gajeel calling back but it was Juvia texting me.

Sorry Lucy. Gajeel doesn't know how to function in the morning. He's one of those ones you can't really talk to until they've been awake for a few hours. He doesn't actually mean to be rude to you. We'll see you soon.

-Juvi

Smiling I texted her back that it was okay and I'd be heading over in a few minutes. I walked over to my desk and took a pen and a sticky note, writing a note to Levy and Erza that I was at the shop, they could meet me there later, and have full permission to raid my kitchen for breakfast. I'll regret that one later. Oh well. I walked to the kitchen and placed the note on a glass on the counter hoping it would be more obvious that way. Toasting a beagle and putting some butter on it I grabbed my keys and walked out the door.
