hey, thank you for reading this story.

Please don't judge too hard on my writing cause my first language isn't english and I do this for fun. Speaking of English, I'm sorry if my grammar isn't always correct, but I'm trying my best.

Anyways, please don't be rude or disrespectful in the comments.

This is wednesdayxfem!oc so if this bothers you, don't read the story.

Enjoy!

_____________________PROLOGUE______________________

Celeste Aldridge was no stranger to death.

It followed her everywhere she went, lurking in the back of her head, ready to expose itself at any given moment. Over the years she's gotten used to; it's become part of her- like a fifth sense.

Everything started when she lost her parents in a car accident. She was barely 5 when it happened, but she still carried that weight on her shoulders. Celeste knew it was going to happen before it even happened and there was nothing she could've done to prevent it. You cannot escape death, no matter how hard you try.

After that she didn't remember much; only that she was wandering around in the woods, lost and scared -almost dead. If it wasn't for Larissa Weems finding her, she most likely would have died. Weems took her in, raised her within the gates of Nevermore.

Now that Celeste was older, she's learnt to ignore the feeling of lurking death, however following recent events it has become more and more difficult to ignore- a constant feeling something bad was going to happen. She felt it everywhere: in her sleep, during class, the woods, even the small café in town. It was everywhere and it was driving her insane. Everywhere she went, death wasn't far.

Which is probably why she was now standing in the middle of the woods.

Surrounded by scattered, ripped out body parts.
