The air smelled of coffee and baked goods, which was all too familiar to Celeste. Her eyes almost immediately fell on the Addams girl- almost out of instinct. Her gaze was met by cold brown orbs, looking right back at her. Celeste didn't even notice Tyler staring at her from behind the counter.

"Thought your escape from this hellhole would be further than the cafe down the road." She said as she sat down opposite Wednesday, who just stared at her with the usual half-dead look.

"I do have an escape plan." Wednesday retorted, her hands folded on the table in front of her. "This is just a minor setback. I'm waiting for Tyler to finish his shift so he can drive me to the train station."

At the mention of the boys name Celeste shifted in her seat and lifted her head to look over to the counter. The boy standing there was already looking at her, a hopeful smile growing in his lips as their eyes met. Her heart ached a little seeing the boy again- it had been almost a year since they last spoke.
Tyler raised his arm in acknowledgment, but Celeste just looked away without waving back.

Wednesday glanced between the two, one of her brows rising in question when she saw the girl ignoring Tyler. It was a cold move, and Wednesday's cold black heart beat a little faster at the sight. Even if the blonde was infuriating her with her sudden mood swings and impulsiveness. Wednesday couldn't figure out what her deal was, yet she still found a liking in the girl.

"So you really wanna get out of here?" Celeste interrupted her train of thoughts. She had folded her hands on the desk, playing with one of the rings displayed on her fingers.

Wednesday nodded, "I never intended on staying her for long. This was my parents idea, not mine."

"At least one of us can escape the armpit that is called Jericho." Celeste commented and looked down at her hands, her brows knitted together slightly. She couldn't help but feel a little angry. Angry that Wednesday couldn't appreciate the fact that she had two parents who seemed to really care about her- but then again she didn't really know the girl or her parents so she had no right to judge or say anything.

Wednesday noticed the brief change in Celeste's mood and for that brief moment she wished she could see into the girls head. To know what she was thinking, which was odd because she never cared what other's thought. Ever.

Celeste's eyes traveled up to Wednesday's forehead when she suddenly remembered the cut she gave her during fencing class, but it was covered by bangs. Before she could stop herself, Celeste reached forward to push the hair covering Wednesday forehead aside. Of course Wednesday slapped her hand away immediately, but Celeste still caught a glimpse of the small scratch that was left behind.

"Touch me again and I'll cut off your hand." Wednesday threatened her and Celeste thought she was actually gonna do it for a brief second, but Wednesday just remained still.

"Sorry." Celeste mumbled and gestured to her own forehead, "I just wanted to see if the cut was still there. I eh- I'm sorry."

"I'm not." Wednesday deadpanned, without hesitation. "You won fair and square and it was my idea- I didn't expect to lose."

"I know. I could tell." Celeste smirked when she remembered the shock on Wednesday face, "I'm still sorry though."

Wednesday stared at the girl silently, before her eyes looked past her to the three boys who had just entered the café. The three ridiculous looking boys huddled around the table, giving the girl dirty looks. Celeste glanced over at Wednesday who seemed to be just as unbothered as her.
