Now | ChristianI threw my head back with a grunt while my hands moved roughly up and down at the memory of her plump lips. Ever since she sauntered out of my vision with her hips swaying so seductively and enticingly, I've been hard.
Fuck that, I've been hard ever since I saw her again.
I would die from a hard cock.
"Just like that..." I pumped my hands slowly. "Fuck, Adelaide."
I was close.
A memory of her soft smile came to mind and I came fucking harder than ever.
The freezing cold water dripped down my front, wiping the evidence of my sins away. I turned the shower off and wrapped a towel around my waist.
Osama was sitting in my living room, typing away on that computer.
"Remind me to change the passcode on my door," I sauntered over to the kitchen and grabbed a bottle of water from the fridge.
"Don't think I won't hack into it to get inside," he said without looking at me. Osama's eyes were glazed over with intense focus. It's been a while since he's been that involved in something. I wonder what he is doing now. Despite pushing him to tell me many times before, he never gives in.
"You know you have your own house right?" I slumped down on the couch, chugging the water down. "You can go do whatever it is you're doing over there."
He chuckled, "It wouldn't be as fun since this involves Adelaide."I straighten myself. "What is that supposed to mean?"
"She asked me to do something for her, that's what I'm doing."
"What did she ask for you to do?"
"None of your business."
I squeezed the bottle in my hand, "Fucking tell me Osama."
"I'm serious," he looked at me with his jaw clenched. "It has nothing to do with you."
"Everything about her has something to do with me," I said.
"Why? Because of your past?"
"Because she's going to be my fucking wife next week."
That gets him to stop working.
"You're actually gonna go through with marrying her?"
"Of course I am, I'm a man of my word."
I promised I'd marry her when we were together but that's not the promise I'm upholding.
I promise you I'll make their lives miserable.
"Speaking of marriage, you'll be my best man won't you?"
He smirked, shutting his laptop. "I thought you'd never ask."
"Shut up," I smiled.
"I'll even surprise you with a special gift of mine. I've been practising really hard."
Osama cleared his throat, sitting up straight and opened his mouth.
Oh god, no.
"Don't you dare start singing."
My ears were going to give up if I heard his terrible voice again.
"Tum hi ho, kyunki tum hi ho..." His scratchy, out of tune voice made my ears itch.
I covered them with my hands to drown him out, but not even the deaf would be able to drown him out.
His moment was quickly broken when I threw a pillow at him. The bastard started to laugh and gave me the middle finger.
My phone buzzed just then.
She's at the hospital.
My expression sobered.
"What's with that face?" Osama stood up with his hands in his pocket. "You look like you want to beat someone up."
"She has so many damn secrets," I ran a hand through my hair. "I can't fucking figure out one of them."
"You know her biggest secret," he said. "The one about her company," he continued when I looked at him confused. I did know about her company, about the problems and the reason why she came to me for help. It's what I wanted from her in the first place. "Isn't that one secret of hers enough for you?"
Osama's face fell when I shook my head. My own friend was expecting too much for me. He didn't understand that her secrets were my key to happiness. Her secrets would allow me to fulfil my promise to my mother before she passed.
I didn't want to stay on the path of revenge for longer than I have to.
Everything is planned, everything is set.
She's in the way and to get rid of her, everything she's holding dear to her has to be obliterated by my hands.I ran a hand through my wet hair, "Don't look at me like that Osama."
"I'm not," he turned his back to me. His shoulders tensed. "You're going to break her heart again, Christian."
"That's the plan."
"No," he sternly said. "Your plan is to ruin her aunt, not her."
"Her aunt's blood runs through her veins, doesn't it?"
"That doesn't make Adelaide like her aunt, you know that too."
"Blood for blood, Osama. It doesn't matter whose blood bleeds as long as it drips."
"You're a fool," he grabbed his laptop while shaking his head. "She's innocent in everything that happened."
"You're taking her side now?" My laughter had no humour in it. "You must have really liked it when she was on her knees in front of us."
His eyes hardened, "I don't know what the fuck is wrong with you, Christian. I'm always on your side, but when someone else's heart is bound to get hurt in the process, I can't help but want to protect them. You're ruthless and you act like you don't care about her anymore even though you look at her like she's still yours."
"She let herself want you. She put her ego aside when she begged you that night to take her back," he walked towards the door before he stopped and turned his head to say something again. "Don't forget that I was there when she walked out the door that night and you fell to your knees where she was on hers and fell asleep there while crying."
A twinge of pain replaced the agitation.
The door slammed shut, leaving me alone with my shunned thoughts.
