MARCOS dropped back to make the throw. He faked out a player from the green jersey knights and dropped back to throw it. His arm extending, giving the ball a nice throw, which went sailing. Right over Brian's head. Laurie sighed in defeat. This time, she'd been at the game from the start, no sports before or after, and nothing that made her miss the game.
It was off to a rough start, Knights up significantly, Warriors with zero. Laurie sighed, running her hands through her hair. She was dressed in blue jean shorts and a long sleeve crewneck with the name of some beach printed out in bold letters across the chest, that she'd never even visited before. Her hair had been down in a loose low ponytail, with the few front strands hanging out. She'd been pacing, trying to understand Troy's gameplays while also trying to see what could help the team get up a few touchdowns. Doing so, she'd taken her hair down and put it back up several times in times of stress.
Knight's taking possession of the ball, it was handed off to a cocky confident player, who took extra-long to pass the ball to a teammate. Laurie sighed, frustratedly at the act.
"Guy has all day. Cut the taunt and throw it." Laurie hissed, running her hands through her hair yet again. Troy frowned a bit as well and continued to pace. Once the knights got closer and close to the red zone, Troy sighed and called time out. He looked down, feeling defeated and waves his sister over who was still trying to understand his game plans and how the Warriors could catch up a bit. Connor, tired and feeling defeated trudged off the field. The Knights quarter back, running b him, purposely bumping him in the shoulder hard.
"Hey, Payton! Two more point and it's light's out!" The QB taunted, referring to the scoreboard shutting down after a team got up by 40. Connor sighed and shook his head, not bothering to shoot a snarky comment back. Laurie seeing the interaction shook her head in disgust at the Knight's QB who was awfully cocky. She picked up Connor and Harlan's water bottles who were walking off the field towards her, shoulders slumped and head down in defeat. She tossed them both to the boys, Connor catching it attractively fast with quick reflexes, and Harlan who fumbled with it before steadying it in his hands.
"Thanks, Laur." Connor sighed, chugging his water down.
"Slow down, otherwise you're gonna puke all over the field." Laurie chuckled. Even in a rough game, her smile seemed to light things up, in Connor's eyes. He sheepishly smiled back, setting down his water.
Laurie paced around the team, as Troy attempted to tell them to keep their heads up dring the game. That's when it hit her. And Sean Payton, who was clambering down the bleachers, had the same idea in mind.
"The QB isn't checking his blind side when he drops into the pocket..." Laurie whispered to herself, wondering how to take advantage and fix it. "So how to fix it? Bring in the safeties?"
