Chapter 12 - Mad Deliverance Awakens The Gods

Kouta wakes up to the sound of light horns and people talking. He has a daze but he walks outside his tent and breathes in the air.

Smells like blood doesn't it. - Rin

I.......I'm not even gonna ask how long this time. Listen Rin. I'm appointing you the new leader of the Orions. You are now the Orion King/queen. - Kouta * waves and walks away *

W-where are you going?! - Rin

Don't follow me Rin, and don't let anyone else either. I have to go alone for this one. I'll be back. - Kouta

Rin stands in silence as Kouta gradually gets farther away. She then screams out to him to the point where he can barely hear her.

You should've made Ryuuto the leader! You Bastard!! Aaaand he's gone - Rin

Why did this guy put all the responsibilities on me? * sighs * It's not like I can do much. Guess I'll make Ryuuto help me. - Rin

A few hundred miles out Kouta is greeted by the 2 informants. Worldsfate and ImmortaPanda guide Kouta to his next location to a certain extent where they then leave him to travel the rest.

You think he'll make it to the buyer? - Worldsfate

If he's not a monkey, then he can play his cards right and get this done properly. - ImmortaPanda

Did we tell him about the night stalkers? - Worldsfate

I don't think we did but he should be fine. - ImmortaPanda

Kouta's journey was only getting harder but he has endured much more in the past so this much means little to him. His path to the buyer led him to come across many creatures of the night, bandits, as well as night stalkers. Night Stalkers were known as a spiritual entity. Meaning they couldn't be killed by ordinary means. They had to be cut down with a special dust that can be harvested by a Murme Flower that only blooms at night under a full moon. These flowers are rare as well as Night stalkers. The chances of crossing paths with a Night stalker is a low probability because these creatures only feed off powerful aura. So unless you have a high aura charge, Night stalkers mean nothing to the common people.

Kouta enters a dark forest where his objective is at.

Hello? - Kouta

He takes a good look around and sees nobody but can feel the presence of others.

I was sent by Kataragi. I'm supposed to meet a buyer or someone. - Kouta

A group of people surround him and close in on him. Kouta prepares for a fight as they get closer. One of the people speaks up and catches Kouta's attention.

He's expecting you. You're late. - Nagato

Apologies. I had a bad hangover. - Kouta

This way. - Nagato

He leads him deeper into the forest with other people guarding Kouta. They reach a small village well hidden in the forest. They arrive at a big hut. They walk in and greet the master of the village.

Are you who I think you are? - Kouta

I was supposed to meet Kataragi, but it seems like he left you to deal with this. No matter. Let's just get this over with. I am Dr.Vernon, but I assume you already knew that. - Dr.Vernon

Look, he just told me that I'm looking to buy. That's all. - Kouta

So you're alone? - Dr.Vernon

Yes. - Kouta

Kataragi last spoke to me about a god artifact. Supposed to give you godly powers this world has never seen before. He told me I would come across it in my journey for the aether portal. I never found the portal.....but I did find that artifact he was talking about. I didn't believe him at first. I mean.....it was just a piece of junk. The thing didn't look godly whatsoever. But that's what spooked me. I gave it to one of my men to test it out and see what would happen in his possession. I'll tell you what happened..........He went mad. He killed a vast amount of my men because the artifact told him too. So I did what any normal person would do. I killed him and took the artifact, only to find out that it was slowly consuming me the moment I held onto it. I managed to lock it up and hide it so that no one would find it. - Dr.Vernon
