Time passed, though no conflict was upon flames, all there could be was calm snow within Icy's mind. All he would remember was the arctic slowly becoming his home, different from the few places he visited. The kingdom had many lives within, and he would value every single being that contained passion, only to have fear from the seven that attempted to attack the last haven of the people like him. He was laying on Anna's bed, staring through the window outside, with a bleeding sky covered in its white cells. Anna seemed to be within the other room, experimenting with some substances and tissue of a different creature. Icy was curious, so he then walked into the room slowly, as he saw Anna hold a pipette that seemed to be containing a red substance. "Is that...blood?," he asked. Anna shook her head and answered his question "It's something much bigger, it's what makes us who we are, everyone in this world calls it LDNA, which can turn you into a mammal within the biosphere. The LDNA processes what species are around the world, only to replicate some of the traits of the species, when it finds a host, it can consume the host to turn it into the mix of what the human is with a different species within the biosphere. There is a possible chance that it can be three at once, like a wolf, shark and human. It may be complicated, but I'm living with it now, and possibly many others within this world..." During her explanation, she squeezed the pippet gently, pouring a drop of the LDNA onto the tissue. Anna saw the substance slowly consume the tissue, converting it into a different muscle, though the tissue had some skin, the skin then covered itself in fur. Icy kept looking around, only to see more of the LDNA in different colors, identifying what species it can turn the host into. He then saw a diary, only to look at Anna for a moment. She kept testing some of the other LDNA substances that were near her, collecting another sample with a different pippet. Icy gently grabbed the diary only to open it slowly. He would see some writing, he was at the first page. "Day 1: I've been covered by some liquid, only to become some wolf hybrid. This substance is known by a lot of people, but I never thought of being a victim to this, it hasn't hurt me, but I don't know if it did help either. I'm placing a machine on a hill, to watch the outside while the inside is unseen, I will do as much to discover more of this substance." He flipped through a few more pages ahead quietly, only to reach the eighth page. "Day 12: Found some other hybrids, a male and female individual, both seemed to be adults in an attempt to grow a family. The female was pregnant, though I discovered that the offspring of two hybrids can become a hybrid at first appearance after birth, though within the womb, the embryo seems to be more wolf-like than human-like, I'm planning to check the womb again with the ultrasound in the next month." After Icy read it, he was slightly disgusted, though now he slowly gained knowledge of hybrids. He flipped through more, reaching to another written page, which seemed to have writing with different colors. "Day 58: I heard some banging of metal outside, I checked to see if it was any of those strange alien cyber creatures trying to hunt something down, though it was them that were being hunted by a hybrid. I studied the hybrid for some time, which seemed to wield a sort of power that would create anything out of glass(?)After hours, I then thought of seeing what I could do. As I was trying to wield a sort of power, it seemed that I would be healing, due to the aura that came out of my hands. I opened a small wound in my arm, only to see if I could heal it, it was successful, and it felt like nothing happened there." He tried to flip through more pages, though he stopped as soon as he heard Anna cry out "What are you doing in my diary!?!?!?" Icy dropped the diary on the desk, only to turn around immediately. He curled his arms in a bit with his head dipped in, and his ears lowered. "S-sorry, I was curious, I just wanted to see somethings around!," he whimpered. Anna had no intention to scream or yell, as her heart was never covered in hate. "It's okay, just...ask next time, please, that diary has so much information of what I've discovered, I don't want it to get lost...," she said. Icy grabbed the diary, only to slowly close it, and set it back where he grabbed it. "Listen, I've just been lost, I went through a journey to gain some...dragon, even some powers, my family, new people, and even the love of my life, but I thought that would be the end so I can defend the kingdom that would've been my new home, now I lost everything...now I lost her...my sea angel...," Icy spoke in sorrow. Anna walked up to him, only to wrap her tail around him and gently hug the wolf. "Don't worry, we will get them back, right now, I recommend you to get some rest for now, have a snack before you sleep, might make you rest better," Anna said. Icy was shy to take Anna's bed, as it was hers. "B-but I need a new place to sleep on, I can't sleep on your bed...you sure you won't sleep soon yourself?," he asked. Anna shook her head, and responded, "Don't worry, technology these days slowly gets better, a new bed will be ready for you, just grab that capsule that has a bed symbol on it." Icy turned back to where the diary was, only to see a capsule glowing grey with a bed symbol within it. He grabbed it, though as he grabbed it, a hologram appeared, which seemed to be a selection of colors. He then hovered his finger over one color he would admire, as it would almost be similar to his fur color, that color being cyan. The capsule's color became the same color he selected. Delighted he was, he went to Anna's bedroom, though as she saw, she then barked "Wait wait, no stop, that capsule makes a whole different room, not a single bed!!" Icy catches the capsule with his claws, though luckily it wasn't activated. He thought of going outside, though winds were almost as strong as a hurricane. The Cold Wolf saw a truck which seemed to be on a sort of charging pad. A ring was glowing green below the truck, meaning the battery for the truck was full. Icy placed the capsule in front of the door. "I forgot to mention, to activate it, there is a button within one of the corners!," Anna yelled while she tested more samples. Icy heard a strange growl, like if someone spoke. He looked to where his ears then perked up, only to see through the thick winds what seemed to be what was written in the diary Anna wrote. He saw a group walking around with what seemed to be guns, holding a sort of energy that seemed dangerous to him. Everyone within the group but one walked away, as they couldn't find anything, though the single alien watched Icy for a moment. The Cold Wolf panicked, only to rotate the capsule with as much speed as he could. The alien seemed to get closer. "Where's the damn button!?," he quietly gasped. The alien grunted as it knew it heard something through the wind. Anna knew he was panicking, so she grabbed something close to her diary. Icy panicked too much to the point he dropped the capsule, causing it to roll a meter away from him. The alien got closer each second, and Icy's fear grew by the second. Anna pulled out a metallic case, using her claws to unlock it, pulling out what was hidden in the case. Icy attempted to use his frost magic to throw a piece of ice at the alien's foot, freezing it in place. He then went to collect the capsule slowly, but the alien raised its arm, aiming its weapon towards Icy. He grabbed the capsule, though saw a glimpse of his demise. Anna peaked out the door, only to cry out "My patients are in my care!!!!" She pulled the trigger, shooting a sort of corrosive liquid with jet speed to the alien's head. Icy ducked as the liquid was close to covering him. The alien then dropped, headless with its weapon on the ground. Icy ran back inside with the capsule, though Anna put his hand out towards Icy. "Hand it, I'll help you with it," she said. Icy placed the capsule on her hand, only for her to press the button of the capsule, and walking a meter away from the base. The capsule seemed to vibrate, as it slowly picked up the ground below it. A room started to form from holograms that appeared, shaping the room's walls and windows, even the bed for it. The room was then finished, though all that was seen from outside was the hill they hid in was growing, a way to disguise the base from exposure. Icy grew calm after the room was made, Anna walked back to the other room to resume her testing. The Cold Wolf went into the room, immediately laying himself on his back on the bed, looking through the window, watching the sky bleed and the stars covering the void. He would see the same 8 different stars that would be colored, giving him hope that maybe someday he will find his family, and even his love once again.
