The following lunch, Alwyn had stayed on his side with the Nevers, not bothering any of the Evers. Typically he was on the Never's side of lunch. There were just those rare times he went over.
Hort was intensely staring at Sophie who was over at the Ever's side, standing right in front of Tedros. Alwyn sat at the top of the Never's bleachers, seeing Sohpie get taken away from a wolf guard and Beatrix joined Tedros's side. He knew she was most likely going to be taken to the Doom Room since she was taken by one of the wolves. It was a place that Alwyn had been to numerous times as he crossed the Evers far too many times for a Never.
Some more time went by of the students chatting and eating.
"Shut up!" Lady Lesso shouted out loud for all the students to hear.
"Everyone find your seats."
Everyone was ushered to go back to their sides, sitting on the bleachers as today was the day. They were going to get their finger glow unlocked. That was the crucial part of Alwyn's powers being held back.
Professor Dovey started off the formalities of the finger glow, "To access one's magic, one must first unlock one's finger glow."
"Once you've mastered your finger glow, it will prove to be invaluable." Lady Lesso continued to talk of the finger glow as she stood beside Dovey at the front of the room. "Shall we?"
The two Deans from each school pulled out a key. The very key that will unlock the finger glow.
Alwyn had a small smile on his face as he knew his power would only grow stronger. Each side had smiles but the Nevers had evil and mischief in their laughter.
"Have no fear, Ever." Professor Dovey made sure to reassure them to feel at ease. "Good feels no pain."
"Nevers..." Lady Lesso looked at them all with a muffled laugh. "It's going to hurt."
Hort looked both left to right at his fellow Nevers with a smile, "Oh, good."
Alwyn also had a smile on his face, "What's a world without pain?"
"Line up."
Alwyn calmly got up from his spot and took his time to walk to the line. His Nevers allowed him to take the first spot. Beatrix was just on the other side, also being the first but for the Evers.
Professor Dovey lifted the key and put the sharp edge into Beatrix's index finger. She twisted the key and Beatrix's finger glowed a bright color.
Alwyn had his hand raised up with his index finger out. He felt the sharp sensation go through his index finger, forcing his mouth to open with a light breath as the key went all the way through his finger.
