Today was the day when new students were arriving at The School of Evil and Alwyn le Fay was a part of the welcoming committee. There was one particular blonde who stood out, standing beside Hort. Her clothing was bright compared to every other individual here. Regardless, that wasn't of Alwyn's attention as he was attending to other things. Like wondering who's his favorite Never, besides the Never dean of course.

"Who is that?" The blonde, Sophie, spoke to the boy beside her, Hort.

Sophie was staring at a tall, charming young man whose skin surprisingly didn't look as filthy as the other boys. However, his clothes were dark just like every other student's. Sophie had a keen eye for fashion and just by a glance, she could tell that his were exquisite. The coat was all black with an occasion of dark grey. There was dark grey fur to the jacket which gave it an expensive taste.

Hort looked in the direction that he saw Sophie was looking. He easily knew the boy. "That one is Alwyn."

"Alwyn?" Sophie repeated the name as she was now finding everyone's name weird. 'Hort? Alwyn? Those weren't normal names.' She thought to herself.

Hort gave her a nod, "Yeah, Alwyn le Fay. He's basically the royalty of the Nevers. We're the Nevers, the evil ones."

"Royalty?" For the first time in Sophie's brief time at the Never's castle, she smiled. Her eyes sparkled as she softly spoke, "He certainly fits the part."

She saw Alwyn turn around, now she got to have a better look at his face and not just his side profile. "What is he doing in the School for Evil?"

Hort turned to her with a look, not understanding how one didn't know Alwyn, "He's the King of Evil."

Alwyn finally made eye contact with Hort and the blonde. He sent them a friendly smile as he walked to them. "Welcome to the superior side. The School for Evil." His eye lingered on the blonde, examining the hair and her clothing, "I knew a few blonde villains." He smiles at the thought of them, "They were remarkable."

"I'm not evil." The girl immediately went against his words. "My name is Sophie."

Alwyn's face slowly dropped as did his smile. He was now just staring at her with a straight face as his eyes averted his eyes onto Hort, "What is she talking about, Hort?"

Before Alwyn could get an answer, a cane was tapped against his shoulder which made him move to walk to the side, giving their dean space.

The blonde, Sophie, looked at the adult with hope as she walked up to her, "Excuse me, ma'am. You seem to be in charge, and I am in the wrong school." She pleaded that there had been a misunderstanding.

"She claims to not be evil." Alwyn's eyes were lazy as he stared at the blonde before glancing at the Never Dean, Lady Lesso.

"Ooh! How distressful. And improbable." Lady Lesso calmly spoke, not bothered by the girl. However, she used her cane to press against Sophie's upper shoulder, pushing her away from her, "Back up. Your name? Actually, you know what? I wanna guess it."

"You won't know it." The blonde was quick to tell her because she knew herself that she should be on the other side. That Sophie should be at the School for Good.

Unknown to the new student, Lady Lesso did in fact know, "Mm, Sophie. Of Gavaldon. Did I guess it? I always do." She smiled at the girl, proud of herself.

"There must be a mistake." Sophie worriedly looked at her, startled as she couldn't believe what her fate was. "I clear-"

"You're the Reader." Lady Lesso told her.

Sophie went to correct her, "I read, if that's what you mean."

"Shh, shh, shh. It's not." Lady Lesso went ahead to interrupt her once again. "Every so often, a very lucky candidate from the outside is selected for admission to this hallowed institution. We call them... Readers because they only get to read about the amazing adventures that originate here. Now, please, excuse me." She tapped the cane down in front of the blonde's foot, making her step back.

"I have fresh villainy to attend to." Lady Lesso spoke in a low voice, "Showtime!" She turned around with her arms up as a gesture.

Alwyn watched the dean of Evil walk off. He had a small smile on his face with high admiration, "Isn't she amazing?"

Sophie slowly turned to him with a look on her face, strongly disagreeing.

"Attention! Attention, future Evil!" Lady Lesso shouted as she now had the room's attention. The wolves even growled to make sure that the attention was solely on her. "If you open your tiny little bloodshot eyes, you'll find your dormitory and class schedules around the hall. It would serve you well to memorize both. Make me proud."

"I will make you proud, Lady Lesso." Alwyn raised his voice to be heard. He looked forward in thought, "What mayhem shall I cause this year?" He talked to himself.

"Alwyn, dear." Lady Lesso turned to look at him. "If you want to make me proud, stop bothering the ever-girls."

"What?" Alwyn formed a shocked, hurt expression. His mouth then slightly curved, revealing a small side smirk, "But it's so fun."

"It would be fun if you were actually causing them trouble." Lady Lesso turned her back on him as she walked away. "Not charming them. Evers and Nevers are never to be together."

Alwyn had a mischievous smile, "Rules were meant to be broken."

Now the boy was by himself because Lady Lesso had left. However, Sophie and Hort were still there, a few feet away from him.

Alwyn looked up in his thoughts with a smile as his heart slightly beat at the thought of her, one of the Evers. He turned to Hort who was in front of him. "There's only one Ever I want, anyways. The Queen Bee of Good. She's perfect, I tell you. She has potential and could be so much more if she would just stop chasing that embarrassing muppet around. An ever-girl with a mean spirit and beautiful inside out."

Hort shakes his head in disgust and a groan, "Evers."

Alwyn raised both brows at him then glanced at the girl beside him, "Your new friend looks like an Ever."

"Thanks." Sophie happily smiled.

Alwyn stared at the blonde with his brows furrowed, "That's not a compliment."

A smile formed on Alwyn's face as he looked past Sophie, ignoring all the words she had just spoken.

"Dot." Alwyn walked past the two, leaving them as he joined the coven witches, talking to them.
