"Huh... How did he know...?"
Aria thought to herself, her eyes trembling and her face frozen.
"Yes. I'm a regressor..."
Aria confessed, her words laced with hesitation as she looked upon Noah's confused face.
"Hah... Yeah, I know how to deal with you now. " Noah stated confidently.
Noah spoke, in a slightly hoarse voice..."Talk to my room..."
Noah commanded her, his voice stern and cold.
Aria felt a wave of panic wash over her. She wanted to tell Noah everything, to explain. The way he was treating her, the expression on his face, it terrified her.
Slowly, she followed behind him, her footsteps echoing in the empty hallway.
- Noah's Bedroom -
The silence hung heavy in the air, the mood uneasy and cold.
Noah sat on the sofa, while Aria took a seat across from him on the other sofa. The tension was palpable, before Noah finally spoke.
"Is this your eighth life?" he asked, his gaze fixed on Aria.
She nodded weakly, her eyes locked onto Noah. Her thoughts were racing, the recent encounter with the god still fresh in her mind.
The symbolism of black hair and red eyes echoed in her mind, her thoughts racing with the possibility of him being the god spoke of.
"Could he be..." she pondered.
But she quickly dismissed the idea, reminding herself that they didn't share any physical resemblance. "Don't get your hopes up, Aria," she thought.
Aria focused her attention back on Noah, her mind contemplating her next move. His unexpected confession caught her off guard.
"I'm a Regressor."
"You're...a regressor?" she asked, surprise evident in her voice.
Aria was taken aback by the revelation of Noah's regressor status. Her thoughts were racing.
'There's no such thing,' she thought, a hint of disbelief in her mind.
Noah's questions broke the silence. "How did you live? How did you die?" he inquired, his gaze fixed on her.
Aria paused, her eyes closed for a moment before she opened her lips to answer.
"I don't remember such a thing I forget how did I die..."
Noah leaned back in his seat, his expression unchanged as he called her out on her lie. "That's a lie...," he stated calmly.
The corners of his lips turned slightly, a hint of a smirk on his face. Noah was always good at reading people, knowing when they were holding something back.
"You're hiding something...and I know I'm right."
His gaze pierced hers, almost as if he was dissecting her mind.
"Do you know who your parents are?" Noah inquired, his gaze still fixed intently on Aria.
Aria shook her head, her voice steady and firm. "No, I don't know who my biological parents are," she replied, her eyes meeting his calmly.
The unexpected answer surprised Noah, his eyebrows slightly raised in astonishment. He paused for a moment, before asking, "Do you want to know who your biological parents are?"
As Noah saw the sadness etched on Aria's face, his own expression softened with a touch of guilt. He apologized,
"I'm sorry... "
