I'm The Precious Daugther Of The Villainous Granduke: Chapter 40 - A Real Princess
Aria rubbed her eyes, still feeling disoriented from her slumber. Glancing around, she noticed that she was now lying on a bed.
"How long have I been asleep?" she wondered aloud as she began to rise from the bed, only to be abruptly enveloped in a tight embrace.
Her eyes widened in surprise at the unexpected embrace.
Aria stood slightly bewildered as Noah embraced her tighter, his words laced with guilt and relief.
"I'm so relieved..." he whispered, his voice tinged with emotion. "I'm sorry, Aria..."
Confusion flickered across her face. Though the duke's embrace was heartfelt, his voice conveyed an unknown vulnerability, causing her chest to involuntarily ache.
Despite her confusion, she couldn't help but feel a pang of pity for Noah, the man cursed to endure eternity because of the divine will. As her head leaned against him, she encircled her arms around his frame, offering a soft reassurance.
"I'm fine, Duke...," she whispered gently, words barely audible. Her heart ached, witnessing the depth of his pain. A thousand lifetimes or more of suffering seemed unimaginable.
Noah and Aria spoke at an, both uttering the same words in perfect synchronization.
"I have something to tell you," they said simultaneously.
Aria felt a flicker of embarrassment, yet her determination remained unwavering. She longed to tell him—that she have information about her parents and there's possibility that her biological dad or mom is from Valentine too since it was cursed family and the curse was 'Regression'
Aria sigh as she looked fo the duke with smile
"You go first, Duke," she said, her voice laced with warmth.
As she tilted her head, indicating that she was listening attentively.
"You're my daughter, Aria," Noah proclaimed firmly, his words carrying an air of certainty.
Aria was caught off guard by the unexpected statement. Confusion washed over her, the situation feeling surreal. She mused momentarily, believing that he might be acknowledging her as his adopted daughter. Yet, the resoluteness in his tone stirred her core.
Her mind raced, grappling with the implications of his declaration. The notion that she was his daughter seemed almost too fantastical to believe.
A hint of incredulity flickered across Aria's face, her eyes widening in response to Noah's claim.
"What did you say, Duke?" she inquired, her voice carrying a note of questioning perplexity.
She hadn't entertained the idea of Noah being her biological father, given that he hadn't discussed losing a child before. Her thoughts scrambled, struggling to process the unexpected reality before her.
"You're my biological daughter," Noah confirmed calmly, "and your mother is Lariette Atlante, a formidable magician hailing from the prestigious and powerful Atlante family."
As the information sank in, Aria's eyes widened further, her disbelief growing.
"How is that even possible?" she wondered aloud, her voice filled with a mix of incredulity and confusion. "You never mentioned any lost child, and... and... I don't understand how..."
A multitude of questions swirled through her mind, but she struggled to articulate them, the surprise rendering her momentarily speechless.
"Haha...Are you kidding me, somehow, Duke?" Aria inquired, a hint of skepticism still lingering in her voice.
