Throughout our lives we seek love and acceptance from another, regardless of our age. But the ultimate connection between two people is said to be when you love them so deeply and they in turn feel the same about you. You just know that you will spend the rest of your lives together, and hopefully on into eternity. People call this connection, finding your soulmate. But what exactly does the word 'soulmate' mean.
When you truly love someone and they in turn love you, you exchange a small piece of their soul for a small piece of your soul. Then you carry that small treasure with you every day of your life. This is how you become part of them and they in turn become part of you.
This is what is meant by a soul mate.
But when that person passes away, you loose that small piece of your soul they held onto forever. However, you still hold on to that small piece of their soul for as long as you live.
How you cling to that person's memory and that small piece of their soul is different for everyone, but that love and those memories of your soul mate will live with you every moment of the day ... until those two souls reunite once again and become one for an eternity.
