A month into winter and the overwatch base was only getting colder. Every thing was made of metal, for safety of course but that still meant it was basically a huge fridge. Worst part was they refused to turn on the ac! Instead they just ushered you to wear a sweater or train to keep your body temperature up. You knew they didn't get that many funds but geez couldn't they spare a little to not keep the place a damn ice box. They didn't let you keep much when joining overwatch. One of the things you forgot the most of, jackets. You dirtied the only two you had and waiting for the wash to be done felt like forever. In the meantime you hid under piles of blankets in you room which defiantly helped. At least until it was time to go get your clothes. You couldn't bring your blankets, that would be way too unprofessional. Plus it would be much harder to carry all your clothes back. So when the timer you set went off you slowly peeled the pounds of blankets off you. You had socks on but you could still feel the ice cold floor through the fabric on your feet. You knew the walk there and back was gonna suck but better to just get it over with, right? You stood up, fighting every urge to sit back down. The cold air hit your shoulders. You only had a tanktop, sports bra, and sweatpants on, you wondered if you should put on an actual bra seeing how your nipples had gone hard from how cold it was. Nah. You just needed to get your clothes and come back, hopefully no one would stop you.

You walked out the door and the air was only colder once you got outside. Not wasting any time you started speed walking through the halls. Half way there you thought and once you were about to turn a corner. BAM. You slammed into someone then when you tried to catch yourself your socks slipped on the floor and you ended up landing on your ass. "I'm so sorry!" quickly brushing off your own pain you apologized and looked up to see who you had ran into. Mei stood above you, rubbing her forehead where yours collided with hers. "aah." she looked a little annoyed before looking down to see it was you who had caused the crash. "Oh! Y/N?" she reached her hand out to help lift you to your feet. "What are you in such a rush for?" she asked "Well I was gonna go grab my laundry... I was in a rush because.. it's freezing! But thats no excuse I should've been more careful I'm really sorry" you said with your head hanging low. "I guess it is pretty cold. Your hands were like icicles!" she said "Are.. you not cold?" you asked her. "I'm used to the temperature. Also I'm not wearing a tanktop" she giggled. Your face flushed a bit and your arms covered your chest in embarrassment. "Can I give you a sweater?" she asked "What?" you heard what she said but you wanted to hear again "So you're not as cold! Its one of the warmest I own." she smiled "Oh, you don't have to-" "I want to!" she cut you off. "I'll go get it for you give me a second!" she walked past you to her room. As soon as she left you decided you should quickly go get your laundry. You rushed to pull it out and put it in a basket. You wanted to get back to the hallway before Mei so she wouldn't think you left her.

Thankfully you did and not long after she returned with a maroon colored sweater folded in her arms. She held it out for you to take. You held out your basket so she could lay it there but she just shook her head. "Put it on!" she smiled at you so sweetly, how could you say no. You set your laundry basket down beside you and pulled the fabric over your head. She was not lying when she said it was warm. This thing was WARM, and not to mention sooo soft, especially on the inside. Very fitting of Mei. "Awwwww. You look so cozy and cute!" she said patting your arms, seeming almost proud of what she had gifted you. "Thank you, Mei! I love it!" you smiled back.
