You and Fareeha had known each other ever since Overwatch started. Both of you grew up to join the group of hated vigilantes. Fareeha, because she wanted to follow in her mother's footsteps. You, well you were there for her. Although you would never let her know that. If anyone asked your reply usually went something like "I want to help protect the world." Even though that was bullshit. If you wanted to help protect the world you'd probably be apart of an at least legal organization. As much as you were wishing a more domestic life, preferably with Fareeha, it was worth it to be as close as you were with her now.She spent much more time training and working compared to you. Thus resulting in her captaining most missions she was put on. It didn't bother you, sometimes it was hot to see her as domineering as she was.
You were assigned an upcoming mission, somewhere near Dorado, with none other than Fareeha Amari leading the group. Missions with her were always exciting, this one was no different. Everyone was sitting in the aircraft while Fareeha stood barking orders for when they hit the ground. When she was done she sat next to you and sighed.
"Whats wrong? Your plan seems pretty perfect to me." you smiled and placed your hand onto her thigh.
"One of these cadets is gonna get us killed.." she muttered under her breath and pinched the bridge of her nose with her other hand.
"You worry too much." you giggled and refocused your attention to the window to see you were close to landing. You stood up quick after Fareeha and followed every order given. Things were going smoothly until one of the frontlines froze up. A new cadet, his very first mission in fact. He along with a few others were supposed to take out a small lookout group for the gang they were attacking. Poor guy fumbled with his gun and couldn't land a single shot. He was quickly getting pounced on by the gang members. You were nearby and couldn't help but step in. Sure this was his fault but if you weren't there when you were the kid would've came near death.
Fareeha facepalmed when you came out of your cover. You should've left the cadet with his consequences. His fuck up gave the gang enough time to call back up and the fight started getting less and less fair. Fareeha ordered everyone to retreat back to the ship and went to help you and the others fall back. She tore apart the cadet from a gang member and threw him to the floor. He scrambled back to the ship followed by the rest. Except you.
You were corned and trying your best to keep them off you but there were just too many.. Fareeha immediately rushed over to help you fight off all the attackers. The both of you held out as long as you could until you felt something hit your shoulder. It was a slight prick, all of a sudden you felt dizzy and weak. You didn't understand until you saw a sleep dart sticking out of your captain's knee and realized you had been hit with the same until you fell unconscious.
When you woke you noticed you were in a cell, not a pretty one. It was entirely made of old stone, except for the iron bars. You looked to see the Ravenette peeking her head as far as it would fit through the bars. Although, you couldn't see anything outside the cell, only the same stone wall. You shifted slightly on the uncomfortable ground. The other girl's head perked at the sound and whipped in your direction.
"Morning?" you said with a shy grin. She didn't reply, you were only met with a cold glare before she turned back to the bars and tried reaching her hand out to see if there was anything on the connecting wall. You slumped back in guilt. This was you fault. If you had just stuck to the plan neither of you would be here. It was silent for a few minutes before a door opening was heard. Fareeha immediately pulled in her arm and backed away from the bars. The clicking of shoes could be heard coming closer until they stopped in front of your cell. It was a man. He worse a suit and was very well kept.
"Well, If it isn't the the famous Pharah.. anddddd.... her little assistant? Who are you again, sweetheart." he chuckled. You didn't answer him. "Hm. Anyways. Pharah, mind telling me what you and your crew were doing sneaking around my property." he said with a smirk.
"Maybe once you let us out." she replied snarkily.
"You don't fool me." he said leaning closer to the bars.
"Then I guess you'll never know." she scoffed.
"I wouldn't say never." he pulled out a small gun attached to his belt and held it up aiming at her, then at you. He looked you directly in the eyes then snapped and pointed to the space in front of him still split by the bars. You didn't move at first until he fired a warning shot a little to the left of your head. You gulped and slowly made your way to him. "Give me your hand." he ordered, obeying you put you hand through the bars. He grabbed your wrist harshly and began to twist. "What were you doing here." he spat to the standing girl. She stayed silent as he kept twisting. Keeping an eye on her the entire time looking for any sort of reaction, which she never gave. Even though in the situation overwatch's plans were more important than a little pain she knew you could take, but her silence hurt a little. The "little pain" wasn't as little anymore, you were biting your lip and squeezing your eyes shut to hide them tearing up. It felt much longer than it was until he finally stopped. "I guess this girl isn't as important to you as I thought she was." he sighed and all of a sudden gripped your wrist with both his hands and snapped it. The sickening crunch echoed through out the empty cell. You couldn't help but let out a yelp, you opened your watery eyes to see your mangled wrist dangling in his hand...
