eddie could see that steve was starting to get anxious at the party too. thats why steve and eddie acted so fast when robin asked if they could take her home. steve and eddie are cuddling in their bed when steve mumbles "daddy?" to eddie. "whats wrong my little prince?" eddie says before steve points to his paci, making it clear that he was non-verbal at the moment. steve gets snuggled up under his purple blankie, and eddie gives him his dinosaur stuffie and puts his paci in his mouth. "there we go! do you want daddy to cuddle with you so you can sleep?" steve nods and cuddles into eddie. "get some rest my little prince!" eddie kisses steves forehead and they both fall asleep. steve is still asleep in their bed when eddie gets up to make pancakes for steve when he hears steve crying for him. "daddy...?" that's eddies cue to go take care of his regressed boyfriend. "hey! sweetheart whats wrong?" eddie picks up steve, cradling him in his arms. "don't feel good..." steve mumbles. eddie goes to kiss his forehead and feels how hot his temperature was. "oh my baby boy... it's okay! daddy'll make you feel so much better okay?" eddie says reassuringly, making steve feel a little better. "are you hungry, love?" eddie asks while stroking steves hair softly. "mhm..." steve mumbles sadly. he buries his head in the crook of eddies neck while eddie carries him down the stairs. "do you want daddy to help you eat?" steve nods, and sits down next to his loving boyfriend/caregiver. eddie helps steve eat his pancakes until little stevie cuddles into eddie again. "daddy...... can you make it better? please?" those words just broke eddies heart. eddie picks up steve and carries him to their bed. "are you tired baby boy?" steve sleepily nods, already drifting off to sleep. eddie strokes steves hair softly, and gets him tucked into bed.
