Finding Mr. Right

First Date

I felt like throwing up. After Niall left, I'd told Kate and Sky about how Louis asked me on a date and they immediately talked about what I had to wear, and how they were going to do my hair and makeup.

I obliged, but I really just wanted to figure out what Louis and I were, and how this whole date was going to go. We're we considered boyfriend and girlfriend? Are we even taking it that far, we might not be a match. This is all so confusing. I wish I'd tried to learn more about relationships as a teenager so I wasn't so lost in this house. I'd pask one of the girls if I wasn't so embarrassed.

"Alright, your hair is out of the way, time for makeup." Sky said as she'd secured some of my hair into a small sock bun and had the rest straightened and just laying loosely.

"I've talked to Louis and we're gonna keep your look natural. Just some light eyeshadow, liner, mascara, and lipgloss." She spoke as she finished filling in my brows and started on my eyeshadow. After what felt like an hour she was finished, and Sky brought me my clothes, along with a few pieces of jewelry.

My top was a flowy light pink shirt that had sleeves that ended just above my elbows, paired with some leggings and a pair of black TOMS. Two silver bangles and a pair of stud earrings with tiny diamonds in them completed the outfit. I finally looked in the mirror and smiled, I looked alright.

"Thanks guys, you've really helped me out with this hair and makeup stuff since being in the house." I said, hugging them both.

"No problem babe, that's what friends do. And speaking of, look at your bangles." They smiled. I looked down, and one had a K engraved, and the other had an S engraved. They then showed me theirs, in which they each had the opposite first initial of each other and then an M for me. The small action made me extremely happy because I'd never really had close friends at home, because I knew they probably wouldn't last. I hugged and thanked them again before Niall walked in and interrupted.

"Hot date?" Niall joked, but I blushed in response.

"No shit." His eyes widened, "you've got a date with Louis!" He exclaimed, causing my own eyes to widen.

"Shut up!" I whisper yelled, slightly wanting to keep it on the low. It wasn't that big of a deal, all of us will eventually go on dates.. Right?

"Where ya goin'?" Niall questioned, plopping down on my bed. Sky rolled her eyes and sat down next to him, whispering something in his ear. Why aren't I allowed to know? Is it a surprise or something?

"Ooh, cute." Niall mocked, and I rolled my eyes, walking out of my room and downstairs. I found Louis at the door, and he was accompanied by.. John?

"Megan!" John exclaimed once he saw me, taking in my appearance.

"I was just giving Louis all the information before the two of you go on your date tonight, and I hope you have fun." He said before handing Louis an envelope.

"Thanks." Louis grinned, eyes darting all over my body.

"Well, you guys can leave whenever you're ready. Hopefully all goes well. Goodnight guys." John said before slipping out. Louis and I both said bye before I walked up to him.

"You look lovely." He smiled, causing me to blush again.

"Thank you." I peeped. He chuckled and cleared his throat, "shall we get going then?" He questioned, stuffing the envelope is his back pocket. I nodded and he opened the door, allowing me to step out.

Soon we made our way to a black car, and I was surprised it wasn't a limo. I guess it made sense since it was only the two of us. Louis opened the door and I climbed in before he did the same and we started on our way.

"Is this your first date?" He questioned, breaking the award silence.

"Is it that obvious?" I pursed my lips, feeling embarrassed.

"No no, I was just wondering." He chuckled, noticing something was wrong. "But I'm very glad to be the first guy to take you on a date." He said, adding a wink at the end. I let out a light laugh and peered out the window as the car stopped.

I grinned as I noticed we were in front of a cinema. It's been a good while since I've been to one, and I was actually quite excited.

"What are we seeing?" I questioned as we exited the car and entered the cinema.

"That one that came out nearly a week ago, The Fault In Our Stars?" He said, clearly having no idea himself.

I laughed, "Lovely, I read the book."

"So you've practically already seen the movie?" Louis frowned, and I felt bad for mentioning that I read the book.

"Well, no, the movie is always different from the book." I said, grabbing ahold of his hand in hopes to make him feel better. He seemed to loose his frown at the touch of my hand in his and smiled down at me. I know that I'll enjoy tonight.

By the end of the movie I was sobbing, and Louis sat there awkwardly not knowing what to do.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry. It just gets me every time." I sighed, wiping underneath my eyes.

"Every time?" He panicked, thinking I lied to him about never seeing the movie.

"Yeah," I laughed, "I've read the book like seven times."

He chucked, shaking his head. Let's get to dinner then, shall we?" He questioned, leading me back out to the car. I smiled again, this date was so cliche but still made my head spin and my heart flutter. Louis had to be my match, he is so my type, and we're so into each other. If he isn't, I don't know what I'll do.

hello everyone! so sorry for the late update, i know it's been a while, i know. i just kind of forgot abut wattpad and tbh im not really into 1D anymore but im not gonna give up on this book, because so many people have messaged me since ive been away. so, stay tuned bc updates should be rolling in more often. bye lovelies !
