Day 5
So Phil is Dan's closest friend and so I figured I could use him. Not in that super bad way. He wants to find Dan too. I made him promise that he wouldn't tell anyone about the company and we're also going to spend a lot of time together anyway as we search for Dan. And Ashley.
So we're going to ask around and see if we can find them. "Hey, have you seen a really tall man with hair kind of like his and about his height? Maybe walking with a girl a few inches shorter than him?"
Phil was reading over my shoulder and now he's laughing at me.
I closed the book and put down my pencil. "Phil!" I said as he quietly laughed. He stopped. "Yeah, that's a great plan! Let's just ask around."
He usually wasn't like this.
I rolled my eyes. "Got a better plan?" I turned my head to him and saw him laying back on the park bench. He looked deep in thought. "I guess we can try it."
"Good. Now come on." As the words left my mouth, both of our phones went off. It was a Twitter notification. Who would we both have notifications.. on.. for.....
Oh.
I pulled out my phone as fast as I could and saw that Dan had tweeted. Was he an idiot?!
Phil's face lit up. "Dan tweeted! Does that mean something?" He said hopefully. "Yeah, it means they're in a lot of trouble." I replied. "If he tweeted with his own phone that means that he just released his location and if he's forgotten that he's being hunted more than ever now, people are probably already tracking it."
@Danisnotonfire: sorry that I haven't been active much. Something came up. More info later
Phil's face fell with realization. What I said was true and we both knew it. "If Ashley finds out that he tweeted -and it really was him- than she'll force him to delete it. That means we don't have much time to track it." I pulled out my laptop from my backpack. "Can you load up the tweet while I track it and keep refreshing to see if it's deleted?"
I didn't wait for him to reply and pulled up the tweet on my computer and lots and lots of other programs. After about two minutes, Phil reported that it was deleted. My heart fell. That meant we didn't have much time before other people found them.
"Ugh!" I groaned. My tracking was taking way too long. If I was back at the company with my big computer this would already be done.
Then a location popped up.
"Yes!" I cheered and stood up. "Can you grab my stuff?" I asked as I stood up and started walking with my laptop in my hands. Phil started grabbing all my stuff along with my journal and pencil and shoved it into my backpack. We were both in a huge hurry.

"I'm sorry! I thought my fans should know at least something!"
I groaned. "They can obviously wait! We have to leave this house and we have to get you a new phone number. Or just ditch your phone all together."
Dan's face fell.
"Ditch my phone?" He shook his head. "No sorry. I don't think I can do that."
I took a deep breath. I ran my fingers through my hair and stopped at the back of my head. "Megan!?" I yelled. I heard something by the doorway and turned. I considered asking if she was there the entire time but it wasn't worth it.
"Meg, we need to leave the house. Pack whatever you need to last at least a few days." I sighed. "And can you pack us some stuff too? Dan and I need to talk." I shot him a look and he blinked and looked away for a moment before returning his gaze to meet mine.
"I'm sorry."
"An apology isn't going to save our lives, Dan." I snapped and tilted my head back. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath, letting it out not too long after. After about a minute, I felt something touch my hips. I jumped and tried to push away. I looked and saw Dan. He snaked his hands all the way around my hips and held them together. He leaned forward and rested his forehead on mine.
My breathing wasn't right and I felt my heart racing. He was so close to me. I felt his warm skin press against mine. My breath hitched.
"Ashley," he whispered. "I promise, it'll be okay." Then he smirked.
But it wasn't his usual hot and attractive smirk. It had a mysterious feel to it. It wasn't right. It just didn't feel right to me. The way he held me my body and the way he seemed to just gaze straight into my soul. But in a loving way. How do I explain how this felt? It just wasn't right.
He released me from his arms and I suddenly felt cold. I wanted to reach and curl back into him but then I remembered his smirk. It confused me. I had to ask what it meant sometime.
"Well, well, well.. Look who we have here?" And unfamiliar voice echoed through the room. Dan turned quickly around to face the mysterious figure. It was smiling.
"Dan Howell and Ashley Silent. I could get a huge price from turning you two in... dead or alive."
"You aren't going to take us!" I yelled. "I won't allow it."
The figure stepped towards us. He was tall and his skin was laced with scars. He was buff and huge across his chest. I swallowed.
"Haven't you ever heard the saying your parents told us? The one about talking to strangers..." Dan looked up at the large man slowly inching towards us. I grabbed Dan's arm and pulled, but he stayed put.
The other man looked confused. Dan pulled out my gun from my belt in one quick turn and pointed it at the scared skinned man. "You never talk to strangers. You never know what they have on their minds."
A loud bang echoed through the house. The bullet went flying from the gun straight towards the man's forehead.
