Bakugou had never really felt worry before. He'd never truly been worried in his life. He was strong and he was smart, he had grown completely confident in himself and in his ability to handle whatever came his way. Now, though, for the first time in his twenty-two years of life he felt worry.Whereas Midoriya clung to Bakugou, constantly touching and scenting him, Todoroki did not. The Beta wouldn't even look at him and he'd barely spoken to him since they left the police station. It was unnerving and it worried him. Was Todoroki angry? Did he think it was Bakugou's fault? Did he hate him? Bakugou felt a whine build up in his throat at the thought. He didn't want that, he didn't want that at all.
It felt as though they hadn't been home in years when they finally returned to the condo. Midoriya began flitting around the apartment the minute the front door was shut and locked. He went to the kitchen first, checking around it quickly before moving to the living room and checking the windows and sliding door out to the balcony. He then made his way down the hallway and out of sight.
Todoroki followed not long after, making his way down the hallway without a word. Bakugou's teeth worried at his bottom lip anxiously. He wasn't sure what they were doing or what he was supposed to do so he simply stood in the front entrance, waiting.
Midoriya came back, his body more lax than when they'd first gotten home.
"Water, Kacchan?" He asked, his arm winding around Bakugou's waist and pulling him close. Bakugou shook his head in answer.
"Shouto?" He managed, hoping Midoriya would understand what he was asking.
"Give him a second and it'll be ready." The Alpha replied. At Bakugou's confused look he began to speak again. "They say in times like this the Alpha protects, the Beta provides, and the Omega nurtures." For a moment Bakugou had no idea what Midoriya meant before it finally clicked. He'd been checking. Midoriya had been checking the condo for threats, that was why he had been so tense until now. He'd been on guard, making sure there was no danger. Protecting. Todoroki was providing but Bakugou wasn't exactly sure what that meant entirely. After a while the Beta finally made his was back down the hall, beckoning them forward.
He lead them back towards the bedroom and into the bathroom, the large acrylic bathtub (and really any tub that could fit two reasonably sized men and a Midoriya was more of a pool if anything) was filling up, bubbles made it impossible to see the bottom of the tub and the smell of lavender made Bakugou relax a little unconsciously.
They stripped down and Midoriya climbed in first, Todoroki sunk in on the opposite side, and Bakugou climbed in between them last. He sighed in appreciation at the feel of warm water against his skin. Despite this there was still a knot wound tight in his stomach that he had no idea what to do with or how to get rid of. Maybe it was just the anxiety or residual adrenaline.
"Kacchan... Baby let go." Midoriya said. Bakugou blinked up at him, confused. "Listen to your instincts, you need to."
Bakugou closed his eyes, taking a deep breath and let his thoughts go blank. His eyes opened, a tinge of Omega blue to them, as a low whimper left his throat. He scooted forward, water sloshing about lightly as he moved, until he was in Todoroki’s space. His nose brushed against the Beta’s chin as he nuzzled the side of his face, his scent sweetening to add to the persuasion. He leaned back after a moment and bared his neck as he whined pleading. Begging for forgiveness.
For a moment he worried that Todoroki would ignore him, that he really did hate Bakugou. Tears began to well up in his eyes again. He didn’t like that, he didn’t like that at all. He didn’t want Todoroki to be mad at him. He didn’t want Todoroki to hate him. He could be good, if Todoroki forgave him and gave him another chance he could be a good Omega.
