The God's flip a coin every time a Targaryen is born, one side for greatness and the other side for madness and the world holds its breath to see how it'll land. And legend has it that the coin never stopped tossing and turning for Rhaella Targaryen.

Some tend to forget the past— but many don't. And the birth of Rhaenyra Targaryen and her twin sister, Rhaella, was an event in Westeros that people wouldn't dare to forget or put past them. It was a bloody pregnancy rhyme for wet nurses and a reminder for all the little Ladies of Westeros the fate they'd soon meet. Some would point out that night was the first blood moon in ages, others would say that night was dreadful and full of woe, as the realm was looking forward to a male hair— and not one, but two girls were born instead. The first was named Rhaenyra, born pink, plump and healthy, she was an ethereal beauty as soon as she was pulled from her mother's womb.

The second was born a little smaller than the first, and named Rhaella, and tales say the babe wasn't born crying and screaming like others. Instead, she was so quiet the maesters and midwives thought the babe had already passed, they were wrong. Rhaella was truly the oddest Targaryen ever seen and known to man.

The babe was strong and healthy, even if size told another tale, the blood of her mother and siblings stained the white flakes of hair that stemmed from her scalp, so full with pigment it forever left its mark on the silver haired babe. Forever marked with the blood of her loved ones, dead loved ones, a cruel jest from the God's, was how Rhaella gained her titles. " Kissed By Fire," Queen Aemma told the maesters, " The Stranger's daughter," is what some whispered when the queen's back was turned, and other's, " The Realm's Woe," titles they'd never forget.
