Jedediah's night had been long. He and the other people in the Western Diorama had been working all night long so far on the railroad, and had been for the last week. Jedediah just wanted a break. He knew he could make the call for everyone to stop for a night, but they were so close to being done, and once it was over they wouldn't have to work on the railroad for at least a year. Jedediah wipes the sweat from his forehead and continues his hammering.

After about an hour the railroad is finally done and Jedediah just sighs. He makes sure his hair is still up in its ponytail and then he walks back to his tent. When he arrives, he is about to change into different clothes, when someone enters behind him.

"So you're finally done with the railroads then?" Octavius questions, coming up behind Jedediah and wrapping his arms around him.

"Yep, we are Octy, so we can hang out more and go on more dates now. Just let me get changed and we can go for a ride." Jedediah answers with a smile.

"How about we stay here for the rest of the night. You need rest and a way to unwind, and driving wouldn't help that."

"Okay."

Octavius helps Jedediah take off his clothes, and helps him get into the other shirt and jeans. Octavius removes his armor and cape, and then lays the cape on Jedediah's bedroll. Octavius sits down on the bedroll and pulls Jedediah into his lap. Octavius takes out the ponytail from Jedediah's hair. He puts the hair tie on the bedroll and then gently starts to run his fingers through the cowboy's hair. Jedediah closes his eyes, as the roman starts to untangle his hair.

Octavius didn't realize that Jedediah had started dozing off when he was detangling the others hair, but smiles when he figures it out. He finishes running his hands through the cowboys hair, and then lays down. He pulls Jedediah on top of him and then pulls his cape over the two of them. He kisses Jedediah's forehead.

"Dream well my love, you deserve it." Octavius whispers.

The roman continues to run his hands through the cowboys hair, making sure that everything truly is detangeled. How the westerner's hair could get so tangled is a question that the roman could not answer. Octavius closes his eyes and lets sleep overtake him as well.

When Jedediah awoke, he was tucked gently in Octavius' cape, and the roman was sitting in Jedediah's chair reading a scroll. Jedediah could not make out what it was from where he was laying, so he sat up. Octavius was too engrossed in his book to realize that the cowboy was awake. Jedediah got up off of the bedroll but kept Octavius' cloak wrapped around his shoulders.

"What are you reading, Octavius?" Jedediah questions his voice, still husky from sleep.

"Just an epic poem by someone past my time. It's called 'Dante's Inferno'. I'm almost done. I could tell you about it when I finish." Octavius replies not looking up.

"I would like that."
