Yoongi's pov
The next day I decide to stay in my dorm, since it was an optional day for the students. My roommate is always busy, always doing some school-related activities. Fine by me, more time to myself in the room.
I hear a knock at the door. I sluggishly leave my bed. "Who is it?" I ask before I open the door. "Jungkook!" I hear from the other side of the door. I sigh in annoyance. What does he want now? I open the door, and I see him with two bags of fast food.

I stare at the bags, considering if I should let him in. "Uh, not a single greeting or an invitation to come in?" I look up at him. "I'm considering whether to let you in or not because of the food you've brought."
He chuckles as he looks at me. "What?" I look at him, wondering what he finds so funny. "You're still in your pajamas huh? So you also decided to stay in the dorm today. I kind of figured" I roll my eyes.
"Come in and be quiet if you want me to be nice to you," I say, grumpily. "Aye Aye captain." I move aside and he walks in, walking into my kitchen. Setting the bags of food on the table, taking a seat.

I watch him, feeling curious as to what he's doing. Jungkook looks over at me, and asks "What are you doing? Come over here, I'm not eating this food by myself. C'mon, sit down. There are two seats for a reason."
I roll my eyes, and sit down in front of him, starting to open the bag in front of me. I pull out a burger and large fries. I open the burger, curious to see what it contains.

I stop my movements and slowly look up to see Jungkook watching my every move. I push the burger aside and stare back into his eyes. "..What did you come here for exactly?" I ask.
His cheeks heat up with a slight red color. "U-Uh-" he laughs nervously, as to break the attention my eyes have on him. He regains his composure and looks at me. "N-No reason, just you know... I wanted to check on how you were doing. Eating a meal together is- somewhat of a love language don't you think?"

I scoff a bit. "Well, thanks for the food. I appreciate it." Jungkook gasps, and I see what's inside the burger. I'm not a picky eater at all, this all looks so good.
I take a big bite out of the burger. How long has it been since I've had such a good burger before? "This- is the first time you've ever said something so nice to me before!"

Oh right, he's still here. I watch him hold his chest, he dramatically falls back in the chair. I chew, enjoying the burger. I swallow my food. "Of course, I told you if you stay quiet I'll be nice to you." He sits back up, holding his chest.
"But I didn't think you'll mean it!" I continue eating, and time goes by as he eats his food. Five minutes go by, and we're having a conversation.
"You dating anyone?" what an icebreaker. He asks while eating a fry. I take a sip of my drink. "What does it matter to you if I was?" I softly glare at him.

"Wow- I can't ask you anything huh? All your answers are so defensive, what's up with that?"I stare at him, wondering why he's trying so hard.
"Fine, you want to know if I'm okay or not? Fine, I'll tell you." He sits up, attentive, ready to listen to me. I clear my throat and say "No, I'm not okay. I got a failing grade in my history class so I was upset about it."

He stares at me and gets up. "Are you okay?" he asks, walking towards me. "I am now, it just sort of sucked since-" he crouches down and immediately wraps his arms around me.
My eyes widen a bit, and my body is smushed in his arms. "I'm so sorry!" he says. I got a low C as my grade on the assignment when I usually get high B's and over. Why... is this hug sort of comforting in a way?

"I understand how you're feeling. When you work hard on something and you don't get the results you want. I understand completely!"
Who... is this kid? Who is he trying to fool? Why do I have a feeling he's being sincere? I slightly lean my face into his shoulder and put my forehead onto it. "Yeah, thanks for understanding," I say, not sure how to talk to him.

This feels comforting in a way. Maybe if I told him the truth, would he do the same thing? I remove my forehead and look at him. "You're.. warm. This hug is warm."
He laughs a bit. "is that a good thing?" he asks. "Hmm, sort of." He removes himself as he continues to crouch in front of me. Jungkook smiles. "You know, I still don't know your name, right?"

-author pov-
Yoongi laughs. Jungkook's smile slowly fades, as he stares at Yoongi. "What a nice laugh.." Jungkook thinks to himself. "Well fine, my name is Yoongi, Min Yoongi." He replies. "Yoongi? What a name." Jungkook gets up and stretches. "Alright, Yoongi, how about we hit up an arcade?"
-end of author pov-

We get to our first arcade game, and I have two pockets full of quarters. "You go first," I say to Jungkook. "Oh, you're ready to lose." I roll my eyes. "Am not!" I say as if I were a child.
I get on the machine next to him, and we start to race on the video game. "You're cheating! You got a five-second head start!" I yell, loud music surrounding us. "You're saying a five-second difference is stopping you from beating me?"
I glare at him, looking away from him, and grip the steering wheel. I step onto the gas, as to accelerate. Jungkook sees and starts to speed up as well. "Oh, it's on." Jungkook competitively says.

Hours later, Jungkook and I stumble into my dorm room while laughing. God, I haven't had so much fun in a while! I remove myself from Jungkook, and I sit on the bed.
"Come on Yoongi~ I've got more video games in my room! Sleepover tonight~" He says as he tries to grab me. "Oh put it to rest Jungkook! We can hang out tomorrow!"

I say playfully as I kick him away. "Yoongi~! I want to play now!~" He whines and I laugh. I hear three dings from my phone, and I pick up my phone to see messages from Taehyung.
Damnit, I forgot I unmuted his number hours ago. I get up and grab Jungkook by his arm. "Come on Jungkook, you gotta go." "No~!" He whines but I kick him out.

I continue to hear his whines until it stops and I hear a door closing. I sigh and lay in my bed after getting out of my clothes from earlier. I lay in bed, staring at his messages that are left unread.
I put my phone on my chest, feeling tired and wanting to rest my eyes for a bit. Soon enough, I fall asleep. I hope tomorrow I have the energy to text him back.
