Aryan was probably the first person in history to be so glad on seeing the entrance of a hospital building. He couldn't help but breathe a sigh of relief after depositing Malini into the capable hands of an orderly, who was waiting with a wheelchair.

Speaking of capable, both Imlie and Shilpa had done their jobs right. Shilpa had obviously used his influence (and e-transferred a significant amount of payment in advance) so a medical team was ready for them and the admission process also went smoothly.

"You don't have much time, do you?" An elderly nurse stated kindly. "Don't worry, the doctor is ready for you. Wheel her in."

Aryan watched the process and was surprised when something touched his feet. It was a mop, of all things. The elderly janitor who was holding the mop was glaring at him. "Look at the mess that you have made! Water and mud, all the way from reception to here!"

"Uh, it wasn't intentional, and I'm leaving now."

"Leaving! I just cleaned the hallway! Now you'll make it messy again with water and mud, all the way from here to the reception? This is a hospital, not your playground."

"Okay, what do you expect me to do? Stand here forever?"

"I want you to not be so rude and arrogant, ill-mannered boy!"

"Excuse me, are you sure I am the one who's being rude?"

"Of course, and you look like something the cat dragged in, by the way," the man aggressively wiped the water and grumbled.

"That must have been a big, big cat," another voice said. It was a nurse. She gave him a flirty smile. "I got a towel for you, if you want it? Your assistant booked a VIP cabin for the patient but she's going to be in the labor section for some time. You can use the room to, um, freshen up a bit? I can show you the way?"

The old man muttered something and jabbed him with the mop again.

"Don't pay him any attention, Mr. Rathore," the nurse beamed, "He's just a grumpy old man."

"I'd like to see you try pushing this mop around for ten hour shifts at 73 and not be grumpy, young lady!"

"Excuse me, nurses have extremely hard schedules too."

"But you are not 73, are you?"

Someone get me out of here, Aryan thought and took an experimental step back. It was futile as both of them looked at him at the same time. The flirty smile came back on the nurse's face, the man's frown was probably a permanent fixture. Uh, a little help, Sita Maiyaa?

Rescue came in the shape of a doctor. "Can I talk to you for a second, privately?"

Ah, so that's why Imlie prayed!

"Sure, everything alright, doctor?"

The Doctor gestured towards a corner and only spoke when they had privacy, "The baby has turned into a bad position, she's suffocating herself. We are going to do a C-section."

"Okay."

"She's got iron deficiency and is malnourished, she hadn't taken care of herself during this pregnancy."
