Summary: Viktor finds someone who was important to him, like 3 or so timelines ago, but it doesn't play out how he expected.

'Hello?' You said, placing the straw of your drink back into the glass. 'Do I know you?'

'Uh,' The person mumbled. 'I'm Viktor Hargreeves. Been at the hotel for a few days, I must have confused you for somebody else. I'm sorry.'

'It's okay.' You replied, pulling out a chair. 'Please, sit down.'

They did so, and as they sat down you saw a micro-expression cross their face. 

'You know what?' You said, in a slightly accusatory tone. 'I don't believe you.'

'What?' They stuttered. 'Why?'

'Your eyes.'

'Okay, fine.' Viktor sighed. 'I'll tell you, but this could take a while - and I'm not even 100 percent sure of things, myself.'

'So you're saying that I'm a consistent figure in all of your, what,' (Y/N) said, pausing to counting it out on their fingers. '...three timelines?'

Viktor shrugged. 'Pretty much, yeah. My brother's much better at explaining it.'

'Yeah, but why me?' You asked. 'Why do you care, you could have let this appearance slide. What's special about me?'

Viktor didn't say anything for a few moments, awkwardly fiddling with his thumbs. 'It's....I think I was a little bit in love with you in one timeline. But, I never got a chance to express it, so seeing you again.....'

'Oh.' (Y/N) mumbled. 'I see.'

'Sorry, I probably shouldn't have come out and stated it like that.'

'Whatever. I don't particularly care about that, what I do care about now is getting to know you in this timeline. We can start over, if you stick with me we may even become friends. Sound good?'

'Yeah,' Viktor said. 'I think I'd like that.'
